Ok, so my g/f kinda got me into watching CSI:Miami. Note I didn't say got me into it, I just watch it. It's quite possibly one of the funniest shows on television in my opinion. If anyone's watched more than one episode, you'll immediately know what I'm saying:

1. Horatio is not a white, red-haired man's name, unless he's in a Shakespearean play.

2. In the opening scene, before the intro runs, Horatio belts out a quick one liner, something to the effect of, "She's either dead....... or dying", and then BAM exits on the left hand side of the screen. This ALWAYS happens.

3. Speaking of the last point, whenever he's talking to someone, he always stands sideways, with his head tilted 45 degrees down, and cocked to the side. I've tried imitating this, and it's not comfortable. I don't like it, and it looks silly.

4. Even the biggest crime lords will spill their guts without any interrogation.

5. Also with #4, lawyers apparently don't exist in Miami.

6. Horatio's wife died and he showed the same emotion as when I buy a pack of gum and find out the price is 25 cents more than I thought.

That's about it for now, anyone else have anything else that I missed?

The whole CSI series suffers from unrealistic interrogation. I mean, I know its just a TV show, but seriously what's with forensic scientists interrogating suspects? Aren't there detectives for that sort of thing? And like you said, they always spill it without even challenging the evidence. That's been the show since the original CSI. That and the whole "let's recreate the entire crime digitally down to the exact location of each drop of blood"...

What's annoying about the show is the way it influences real life juries nowadays. They expect perfect, instantaneous fingerprint analysis and for every picture and video to "zoom in and enhance" the suspect's face or whatever. It's putting unrealistic expectations on what the prosecution needs to prove.

Not sure if he's looking at CSI:Miami or just the original.

I've only seen the show once, and I laughed at David Caruso so-called acting the whole time. What a pale comparison to the Law and Order franchise; CSI doesn't even come close, imo.

(Law and Order = Columbo) > Matlock > MacMillan & Wife > pond scum > CSI : Miami > Caruso's acting

Considering your similar dislike for 24, I'm gonna have to check out CSI since I will undoubtedly like it. :p

Nah, weak ending. I was hoping Jack was gonna blow this bastard's brains out. Next season has Die Another Day written all over it.

Did Jack Bauer die?

Jack can never die.

Also did anyone else think that the "real time" wasn't exactly right for the last 2 hours?

1. The prez and the 1st lady got started and ended within 5 mins, and that includes getting undressed/dressed.

2. Jack was kidnapped and was on that boat, beaten up, within 10 mins..... Jack would never allow that....

I'm betting that the next episode is in China

Let me speculate: Jack Bauer won, and the evil terrorists did not. Go ahead, tell me I'm wrong.

That's what I love about 24, you never know WHAT'S going to happen.

The Chinese think they've won. They'll learn that they might have mastered the fine art of manfacturing boatloads of cheaply made crap to sell at Wal-Mart, but they can never master Jack Bauer. :D
