I think Kahn will be goalkeeper. Both are nominated in the roster. But I think Kahn will be goalkeeper this time. Lehman was goalkeeper in Italy game and we got 4 goals. So I hope Kahn will be number one in game against USA.

Robert Huth is still with question mark. The coach of english team Chelsea will decide on Sunday after game against FS Fulham if Huth will be free for friendly game against USA or not.

I would have liked to see Kevin Kuranyi. Due his injury he did not play against Italy either. And we will not see him against USA as well.

Klinsi warned against class opponent USA. But Klinsi is optimistic. He know that he need to win to earn trust from fans in Germany especially after result against Italy.

i wonder: does the inclusion of Lehman mean that we'll see some of our EPL/ non-B'liga guys? i thought we wouldn't be able to get them. it'd be a much more useful match if some more Euro guys showed up.

The only thing that surprises me is that Huth is considered at all because Cheslea play Newcastle the same night in the FA Cup. I'm also not sure why they're calling in Lehmann when he won't play, anyway.

I think both sides will take the game seriously. Of course Klinsi is more under pressure than Bruce. Don´t forget the game is in Dortmund. Maybe you remember that Klinsmann did not nominate Wörns for the squad and Wörns will not play in the World cup as said Klinsmann. Many fans in Dortmund are mad at Klinsmann. So Klinsi need to win especially before fans in Dortmund.
For atmosphere in Germany 3 months before world cup victory will surely help for more optimismus. Bruce on the other side will want to continue his victories in friendly games. I´m sure it will be a big success to win against Germany. Many american fans still remember this Frings ball in world cup 2002 (quarter finale). So Americans will want to show that they can beat German team. We all remember that Germany kicked off USA from the quarter finale last World cup. We all know that USA played better than Germany. We had a bit more good luck. So both USA and Germany will play hard, take game seriously. It is good test for both sides.

yeah, Aarhus, I was also asking the same question. Why was Lehmann nominated. As I remember before Italy game should have Kahn to play in game against USA and Lehman in game against Italy. I think Kahn will be goalkeeper and Lehman will be on the bench.

That is a very good team and they'll be looking to restore some pride after the hiding they took from Italy, If you have the LA and Rev players i think this could be a good match.

Podolski was the big discovery in the season 2004.He impressed especially during confed cup. Many of us remember the "dream" duo Schweinsteiger and Podolski during confederation cup. Podolski played for Germany at Euro 2004, where he was the squad's youngest player. He also attended the FIFA Confederations Cup in 2005 and scored 3 goals there. As of 2005, he is seen as one of the most promising German players. Unfortunately in last game against Italy there was not so much seen from Podolski.

Podolski plays in Cologne. Podolski has surely big potential. I personally expect a lot from him during the world cup.

Both the Galaxy and the Revs lost there CCC series and are out so their players should be available apart from injuries.

Ralston played some minutes in the Revs game, so he would be available but not yet in full fitness or form.

Noonan was out and I don't think he will be ready to play.

Don't know about Dunivant.

I'm really not getting my hopes up for this game. I'll watch with great interest to see how far our team has come. It's one thing to face a country that has the history and talent of Germany at home. It's a completely different thing to face a team that's hell bent on kicking someone's, anyone's ass.
