Has he just played in reserve matches? If so, does anyone know how he did or is otherwise fitting in? It seems he gets listed on the gameday roster for the recent CL matches, but he's yet to play. It seems he's being brought along very slowly, per schedule. But even Rooney got some key minutes in his 1st year...

Yeah, but Rooney was playing on a crap Everton side at the time, not a CL contender.

I really wish everyone would give the kid and Wenger breathing room. He'll be brought along as the boss sees fit. Some of the calls for Walcott remind me of how people on this side of the pond annointed Adu as god's gift to soccer.

Arsenal are in a critical situation right now. We need to win every game in the EPL and, well the Champions League is quite obvious. Im not saying that Walcott may nt help us to win it, but we need the experience at the moment.

Wenger has been bringing on Bergkamp and taking off Adebayor in matches, i think he should play Walcott instead of Bergkamp, he has been playing really badly imo. The fact that this must behis last season has become really obvious.

Bergy probably has been doing more work off the pitch rather than on. The kids need to learn from experience and i think he was helping out with that.

Maybe he was rusty, but Dennis had an aweful time in the last game--he actually whiffed at a ball in the box.

I'd like to see Theo come on ocassinally at the end of games for offensive purposes, utilizing his speed to run at tired defenders.

I'd imagine he isthe long term replacement for Freddie, who is himself approaching 30.

I don't think that had much to do with Bergkamps age.... even RVP did somthing similiar recently.

When does Walcott actually sign his professional contract? I thought his birthday was sometime in March.

Thursday is his birthday. What a great present to sign a contract with Arsenal and hopefully make your debut 2 days later with a brace... :D

Didn't know bottles counted as drinking either. I thought real people drank pints! :D
