Does this mean tickets will go on sale today?

I guess that confirms Cleveland and "East" Hartford as well.

I'm excied, I'm going whenever they put tickets on sale. My sister lives in Nashvegas and it's a 3 hr. drive. I can't wait. I'll see a good opponent and he'll have our full squad. I'm happy for Nashville and the Collesium is a very nice stadium and there's not really a bad seat in the house.

there is now an official USsoccer release that says tickets go on sale on 3/22.

Here's some good ticket information. I've already recruited about 20 people for the match.

Typical lack of US Soccer respect for the Northwest. HARTFORD? NASHVILLE? CLEVELAND?
All areas without MLS or USL teams. Hardly hotbeds of soccer but hey, what do they care right?
I swear to god I think they put a map up on the wall in the US Soccer office and then close their eyes and through darts at it.

Typical lack of US Soccer respect for the Northwest. The training camp is in North Carolina, as it was last time. And, as was the case last time (when they were in DC, NJ, MA), they aren't doing any cross-country flights for these friendlies.

Well Morocco is traditionally a good african team , I just dont think they play the style we will be playing against when we play Ghana . Morocco lost on the last day in qualifying to Tunisia . Should be a pretty strong opponent , probably the strongest we have in May . But i dont know much about Venezuala

Cry me a river. Dallas is a soccer hotbed w / an MLS team, way larger than Seattle or Portland, and we went like 9 years without a match. We did get 2 in the last couple of years, finally. Hartford makes sense b/c it's near major pop centers, Cleveland is in the running for an MLS franchise now, which leaves Nashville for you to bitch about. While not immediately near a lot of stuff, it is accessible from many cities--many more than are Seattle or Portland. And when was the last time they had a men's NT soccer match there?
I'm sure this largely has to do with what kind of deals cities put on the table, and partly to do with spreading things around. You'd suspect they'd put some games up there in the near future.

So what is a hotbed, then? PORTLAND? Please. You have no idea what you're talking about. Where Hartford has Boston and New York City, Portland has...trees... not to mention, I am completely unconvinced that soccer is more popular out in Oregon than in Connecticut.
It's pointless anyway, the placement of this game was in the best interest of US Soccer and the team obviously, or it would have been put elsewhere. Besides, this is the closest to Germany they could be before departing, why make both teams travel 6 more hours to be closer to those trees?

Seattle had two Gold Cup matches last year.
Which is a lot closer than anything we've had...

Perhaps you should invest in a map, yourself.

I hear that air travel is the way to go nowadays.
Seriously though, pissing on other cities is no way to act.

SWEET!
It will be interesting to see how the crowd compares to the Birmingham games.
I have 2 people coming with me so far.........
There's a sports radio guy in Knoxville named Tony Biscillio (sp?) and he is a pretty big fan. Its not his usual topic, but he can discuss the USMNT team in depth, and he give's it a little time now and then too.
I am going to try and call him next week when I am at my Knoxville office......

I was in Morocco last week and got to watch the Chelsea-Barca game in an Essaoiura bar (75 men, 0 women) while downing some mint tea. Definitely a Barca crowd.
Chatted with a few of them during halftime and they were sorely disappointed by their showing in the recent Cup of Nations tourney...good news is that they gave up only one goal in 3 games...bad news is that they didn't score.
For a predominently Arab nation, I didn't sense much hostility towards the US. In fact, I learned from someone while there that Morocco was the first country to recognize the independence of the US...not sure if that was true, but if it is, certainly is a great factoid.
