Rob Stone and Ty Keough did the game in Nov. versus El Salvador.
I'd imagine it would be them again.
If you'd like to find some commentators who aren't annoying, I recommend tuning into Telemundo.

why can't it be Rob Stone and Eric Wynalda. That would be entertaining.

"That should be a free kick cause you'd hate having to pay for that one."
No. That one was worse than Jack.

dave dir was absolutely incredible... he was the one person on the broadcast team that made the telecast seem professional

They must have told Stoner to try to reign himself in, because during the first half or three quarters of the game, I thought he was very good -- much more restrained than he usually is. Then, he started to lose it and went back to sounding like a hyper-active twelve year old without his ridlin, as he usually does, babbling excitedly about this and that and saying dumb things that only he thinks are funny.

He kept saying "The States" this, "The States" that. Is that USMNT's new nickname??

I like the new layout that they had for this broadcast, starting 5 minutes earlier with a little pre-game. I especially liked how the sideline reporter Dave Dir was a lot more involved than we usually see them, and how they didn't have to keep saying "Lets check in with Dave". Dave Dir is great.
The only thing I wish they would quit doing but isn't likely would be that they show the starting 11's at the same time and not in that ticker at the beginning of the match. Now that they have a pregame show the lineups then instead of flashing them at the bottom of the screen while the game has started. I know that this may not be easy to do because Avaya sponsors that ticker, but would it be so hard to just have it on the screen at the beginning of the broadcast?
Other than that I was very pleased with the new layout of the broadcast, but I still miss Jack!

Where is Jack Edwards? Is he no longer calling games for ESPN? If not does anyone know the reason why? I thought he was great!
