Nothing less than a reincarnation of the voyageurs site!
Redundant?
What possibly could be posted there that can’t be posted on BigSoccer?

Um, its called having your own place to hang out. Sure your parents say you can hang out in their basement anytime, but at some point you want to grow up and do your own thing. Also, its easier for others who want to contact Toronto fans to do that if they are all in one place rather than scattered across several boards.

A lot actually.
Dude, the site just opened up, and its still over a year before the team even begins playing, what were you expecting, that the site was going to open with a 10 minute-long flash animation sequence of Richard Peddie juggling a soccer ball with David Miller? You might actually want to wait until things actually get rolling before cynically condemning everything.
In time people interested in joining up with the supporters group will be directed to that site. Its a lot easier, not to mention nicer, to direct people to a specific site than ask them to navigate through to a corner of a massive forum like this. I also believe the intention for the long haul isn't just to strictly be a message board, but its early days yet.
The reason the site has opened up now, partially its because of enthusiasm on the part of supporters, and partially its because the Voyageurs board wasn't really suitable anymore for our purposes on the MLS supporters front, especially with the almost total lack of moderation viz a viz the anti-MLS or anti-Toronto trolls that are allowed to roam free there. The V-board will still be the place that most will flock to discussion national teams issues & organize attendance Canada games actually held in Canada, but most of the MLS stuff will be at a place of our own.

I agree with the captain.:)
I will be new to any supporters group should I join.
I intend to buy season tickets so I will be part of the bigger picture as a supporter. This website will be a good source of information and a good place to network.
Remember, if this thing takes off and there are only 20,000 seats then in the long term, it will pay to be connected. Try to get Leafs tickets in the playoffs without losing a limb!:p

Just for clarification. That site is not a bulletin board nor the official supporters group web page for FCD, but works more as an independent ezine for FCDallas. As the web page itself states:
This website is an unofficial and independently-operated source of soccer news and information
