To anyone in or familiar with Cologne, what are some nice parks and or soccer fields locally to get a kickaround in here and there.

There are parks, plazas and pedestrian zones all over the city. Finding a place to kick a ball around should be pretty easy, especially during the World Cup.

One place that's really nice is Rheinpark, which is actually across the river from the Dom, and just north of the Messe (convention center).

This site is actually quite good
