A shout out to the supporter's group from a local soccer shop...

At the 2nd naming ceremony on Mon., there was a couple sitting a bit in front of Ethan and me. After the ceremony, the husband gave me an approving nod for my 1836 shirt, and the wife came up and said she'd overheard me talking about the supporter's group. Their names are Edith and Ron Morehead, and they run a soccer shop in Pasadena called Soccer Time. Here's their info:

Edith said they were going to have like 12 season tickets in sec. 204, where I think quite a few of us are going to be. She asked me to pass along their greetings to any SG people out in their neck of the woods. They plan to host viewing parties for the WC at their store.

I'm pretty sure I've met Edith before...about 10 years ago. My friend's Mom was the agent for Mike Sorber and we were out at a tournament in Pasadena...if it's the woman I'm thinking about, she has a smokin' daughter who is probably 26/27 now. :)

I was wondering what happened to Soccer Time! I was driving by their shop (it was right in my neck of the woods) and saw it was closed. I was scared they had to close down. I'm glad to see they are still up and running.

These people have been involved in Soccer for a long time. I used to buy all my soccer equipment there when I was younger. They always have tickets to the games here in Houston.

I think I'll stop in sometime this week and formally introduce myself. See if they want anything to do with hooligans like us. ;)

Thanks, Yanks02 - I wondered if you would have known something about that shop, being closer to that part of town. I think that was why Edith introduced herself, in case there was something they could do for the supporter's group...
