If, like me, you've seen the commercial for the Saturn Ion (you know, the horribly depressing one where he is driving through Childhood...sigh...) and wondered what the song was, its called "We've Been Had" by the Walkmen. I've actually "file shared" several other songs by the Walkmen, and they are all quirky-poppy-cool. Just thought others might like to know.

It sounds like Greg Dulli channeling Bono for a really bad Dillon impersonation.
It's kinda cool, though.

Their album, "everyone who once liked me now is gone" (or something like that)...is excellent. blizzard of 96 is a great tune on it.

Ah. Wondering about that. Sounded almost like late 70s Bowie for a moment, post-ziggy.
So, other question, what is the song in the Volkswagen Jetta VR6 commercial where a 26 year old James Spader look a like is racing to get to the church to break up the wedding of the insanely cute girl with the brown doe eyes?

I'm sure most folks know, but in case they don't:
The Walkmen sport several members of the now defunct Jonathan Fire Eater -- and I highly recommend their (one and only?) album "Wolf Songs for Lambs." Wild swirly organ, fuzzy guitar, howly lyrics and some nice gloomy stuff too.
Thumbs assuming the upwards position.

Most inebriated frontman I've ever seen live.
