Well 4 shots and an hour and a half later, we are still waiting for the same person.

Did anyone watch the Middlesbrough vs. Roma match? The first half was pretty entertaining, didnt see the second half. (Well we cant talk about the last pick forever, we need something else to talk about).

We could talk bout how this round has killed off my 3/4 of my plans. :( Still cant get ova that.

It looks like we are going to be waiting about 30 minutes for Toms pick. Which isnt too bad.

Ayala is a good pick.

Perhaps you should check the rules and examine his performances/stats from this season. An examination of the thread linked in my initial selection would also help.

Well, if Totti can lead his team against Livornos of the world, good for him. Being the best player on an average team also helps. But what has he ever done in the big games - be it this season or any other one? Did he ever lead his team to any major victories? What has he ever done for the NT? Besides spitting in the face of another player, that is?
He's a very good player, certaily worth a first round pick, maybe even in top 10, but #2? No way.

Thanks. Cant believe the luck to get him in the 3rd round

Great to see Ayala go. I had wanted him before Van Buyten, but after discussion within the team, decided to go for the latter.

Stud did you see his goal against Inter? Thats only half of what Totti is capable of. Roma are more than an average side. They are currently 4th in the league. Totti has been maginicent this season. Maybe not worthy of the second overall pick, but definately a first rounder. A leader, and one of the most influential players that have been drafted. Forget his diving, and cheating of the past.

Ayala is another guy I would have thought didn't play enough games. On Sky Sports website it says he played 15 league games and 1 international friendly. Just curious, what websites are you guys using to find out how many games a player has? I'm not challenging the pick, I just want to know.

Thats because Van Buyten wins everything in the air....EVERYTHING. I would have picked him over Ayala as well. Though Ayala brings some versatility along the back line.

Has Ayala not played in the WCQ to help Argentina qualify? Also have to count in the Copa Del Rey appearences.

Well, I think it's safe to say that Mascherano and Heinze are not eligible (in case someone planned to draft them), not sure about Ayala.

Lets see, you have to remember the Brazilian season is different from the European seasons, including the state tournements etc.
