Your baby must get all its nutrients from you. Just taking vitamins isn't enough. You need to be full of good nutrition. If you fill up on doritos, you won't have any room left for the foods that can really help your baby grow strong, healthy and beautiful.

How exactlly do you learn a language? Not a dig, just curious at how he did that. I know I have to be speaking a language with others to have some symbolence of knowledge.I don't know. I tried to learn German for ages -- seriously for 6 years -- tried to speak it often and I still couldn't get it. I'm majorly a visual learner, so while I'm able to read languages (I can totally read french and I've barely studied it), I can't learn to speak them.

I think my husband's got a natural talent for it, he just picks things up auditorily. I'll teach him something new in english and he almost always remembers it, even without practice. I'm still learning please and thank you-type stuff in arabic, and I'm always forgetting and having to re-learn. He learned dutch living in belgium, italian in italy and german and japanese from 2 roommates who spoke those languages. He's also dyslexic, and I've read that often people with poor visual learning capabilities will train themselves to get by on audio cues, which is what I suspect happened to him to make him so amenable to learning language. Or he's a genius. Not sure which.

Oh, and he speaks arabic, french, english, german, italian, japanese, and dutch, the last 4 self-taught. He's an international bright young thing. :)


Wow, I'm impressed. I'm learning my fourth (with some of a fifth that I used to know but haven't used in a few years - I'm sure I could pick it up again easily enough though), but I couldn't imagine teaching myself from scratch. As far as I'm concerned more is definately better!
