I didn't mean for that to be a rep-whore post, but if you feel like it then please rep away. It'll help you spread so you can give it to people you actually like. ;)

Did you know that if you rep-whore while drinking a warm soda, you can't get pregnant?? I swear it's true . . .

As only the latest in a long line of excellent posts, this one stands out. I read it and didn't notice that it was Sapphire. Very impressive. At this rate, Saph's husband won't even recognize her when he finally arrives.

Every night, I stay up until the wee hours with my team of monkeys on typewriters, eating stale pizza and smoking newports, working just to come up with lines that amuse you guys.

Apparently, my work here is done. :D

(And my hubby is even sillier than I am  )

Speaking of which, Saph, if you get pregnant, wouldn't it speed up the whole your-husband-becoming-citizen process? I know he's not there right now so it's not technically possible. Well, actually, technically it is possible, but not realistic. Or realistic, but not in a sense of him doing it the regular way. You know what I am saying?
Yeah, me neither. :o

I'm not so sure sperm travels over 3,500 miles all that well...;)

It would be helpful to know when the last time Saph saw her husband. Otherwise, she may not want to expedite things on this basis.

Yeah, me neither. :oTechnically you're right. But technically, the maximum official wait-time for a fiance visa is 6 months, and we are in month 16, and it's not looking good. As much as I want to populate the world with little anglo-Arab-Italian United fans with southern accents and wicked senses of humor, I'm afraid we're gonna have to wait. I don't trust government bureaucracy when it comes to something that serious, and I'm not giving birth with my hubby in another country. No way. And, anyway, who would go to the store at 3am for pickles and doritos during my pregnancy??

And it's been toooo long since I've seen him, since August :( . Once we get our next news from the consulate -- yay, nay, or may-bay -- I'm booking a ticket to see him. Maybe we'll cook up a little one then, depending on the news. :)

You should give birth to kid in another country.. so that he will have dual nationality and can play for United..

Or does the husband have Italian passport already? Nevemrind then..

Or does the husband have Italian passport already? Nevemrind then..Actually he does not have an EU passport. His passport's from his birth country, Algeria (which makes all our paperwork more difficult). I wonder how we could designate the kid's citizenship if s/he were born in Italy? Hmmmm. It would allow him to play for a wider range of national teams, that's for sure. He could follow in Rossi's footsteps. :D . . . Ohhh :(

I'd imagine he'd had three passports as long as each country allowed more than one (unlike China so they say)

Interesting.. Are his parents algerian or Italian.. also is he an Italian citizen..My business partner in Italy has Italian parents but he was born in Libya.. He carries an Italian Passport but under place of birth it says Libya...

If you want when I'm there in may I can stick him in one of my suitcases and smuggle him back here for you...:D

Um...
Your baby must get all its nutrients from you. Just taking vitamins isn't enough. You need to be full of good nutrition. If you fill up on doritos, you won't have any room left for the foods that can really help your baby grow strong, healthy and beautiful.

And, with that, I am off to Things That Make You a Bit Questionable...:o

His parents are Algerian, he grew up there, and he's still only a citizen of Algeria. He's only "Italian" insofar as he's lived there for awhile. He's also spent several years in Belgium. So I think he identifies with Algeria, France (due to colonial connection with Algeria), Belgium and Italy, although all of his papers are connected to Algeria, with the exception of his Italian permanant residency.

Oh, and he speaks arabic, french, english, german, italian, japanese, and dutch, the last 4 self-taught. He's an international bright young thing. :)

Jay, if you could just toss him in your luggage, that would be great. He's quite compact and won't wrinkle, even when packed hurriedly.

How exactlly do you learn a language? Not a dig, just curious at how he did that. I know I have to be speaking a language with others to have some symbolence of knowledge.
