Because if you do that you're completely ignoring the original problem in the first place, which is the snow. Rotating will only make it work half the time.
I can't see MLS changing their schedule for the CCC until it becomes more prestigious. There were some attrocious attendances in the first leg and I don't think the league would find it worth such drastic changes to compete in what seems to be considered a second rate tournament by the fans and some of the teams. As much as I'd love the CCC to be what the ECL is to European leagues, it's not. Hopefully that will change in the future (and I think the World Club Championship is a step in the right direction).
last year UNAM, Monterrey, Municipal, Olimpia and Saprissa all had near sell outs. mls teams were the only ones with bad attendance.
this year the tourney had bad luck, olimpia couldnt play at their home stadium (but still had a good crowd), saprissa had a really good crowd, but america and toluca are two teams that don't have very good attendance in the mexican league.
i think i posted this in another thread... but it's not unusual to see empty seats even when toluca are in the final. and america, you can't possibly think they'll sell out a game against a jamaican team.
