Because if you do that you're completely ignoring the original problem in the first place, which is the snow. Rotating will only make it work half the time.

I can't see MLS changing their schedule for the CCC until it becomes more prestigious. There were some attrocious attendances in the first leg and I don't think the league would find it worth such drastic changes to compete in what seems to be considered a second rate tournament by the fans and some of the teams. As much as I'd love the CCC to be what the ECL is to European leagues, it's not. Hopefully that will change in the future (and I think the World Club Championship is a step in the right direction).
last year UNAM, Monterrey, Municipal, Olimpia and Saprissa all had near sell outs. mls teams were the only ones with bad attendance.

this year the tourney had bad luck, olimpia couldnt play at their home stadium (but still had a good crowd), saprissa had a really good crowd, but america and toluca are two teams that don't have very good attendance in the mexican league.

i think i posted this in another thread... but it's not unusual to see empty seats even when toluca are in the final. and america, you can't possibly think they'll sell out a game against a jamaican team.

I dont understand one little detail here...., Why L.A.Galaxy and N.E. Revolution didn't start their preseason 15-21 days before????, if they really wanted to win the CCC, they could have started practicing before, I'm tired of the Pre-season excuse, it is just bs for me, LAG and NER knew that they were gonna participate since along time ago, it is not that they were informed 15 days before the games or something...

Fine - Then MLS teams will play Saprissa in November - In Boston - In Rochester(yeah, I know - but they could just as easily be in MLS and do well right now) - In Chicago - In Columbus

Granted - I still think Saprissa is again the class of the competition and is the favorite to win again - But please stop this crap of telling MLS teams to play earler

Its simple physics: When this tournament is in the summer and when MLS teams are that their peak, they win

a) Superdraft.
b) Because they view the CCC as a good pre-season tuneup.

I don't think it's much of an excuse, but it still is a lousy time for MLS teams to participate. The problems go far deeper than that, but it still doesn't help any.

This thread was supposed to be about the Alajuela-New england game and not about the pre-season excuse, I'm closing this thread, if someone wants to add something about the game, PM and i'll open it.
