If Josh was naming the thread it would have been Erin Go Without Boobholders (what Josh calls bras-he has been watching the Fantastic Four to much I think when Jessica Alba goes invisible except for the bra and panties.....) :D

How can we rep Josh?! That's hilarious.
Julia hasn't been exposed to anything beyond Disney movies and PBSKids until this year, and now is capable of piloting the remote on her own. The other night she turned on the TV to catch AFV. Wrong channel = Story about Anna Nicole Smith, at the time highlighting her career as an exotic dancer and model! I also wondered while driving to south Ga the other month: How do parents deal with younger kids seeing all those damn billboards for "Live Nude Dancing - 24 Hours!"
"That's right kids, we're taking back roads the whole 12 hours to Orlando!!"

We had tried to shelter him a bit but with all the exposure boys have to "superheros" and all the subsequent toys they play with it has been hard. I try to watch the movies before he sees them but he loves Spiderman, The Hulk, the aforementioned Fantastic 4 and others. He likes Harry Potter and has seen these movies as well. He loves to see movies in the theater and I think we will soon be going to see remake of the Shaggy Dog with TIm Allen. I loved the original so it shouldn't be to painful....... I don't let him watch drivel like Power Rangers, Yugi-Oh (sp), etc. and he mainly sticks to the Disney Channel and Nickelodeon.

I guess this latest Batman was a bit old for him, hunh? Are you guys planning on letting him see the new Superman?
Oh, and Anti, coming from you, that means a lot. :D

Jen found a great playgroup for Julia when she was 2, mostly boys. It was amazing watching the kids change over the last 3 years, however. You could tell which kids were allowed to watch violent movies as a form of babysitting and those who shielded or were coached through how to take entertainment. Let alone the concept of not hurting anyone. Never had to worry with Julia before as she was the athletic Alpha of the group at the outset. Changed now, obviously.

I finally got the Arctic Monkeys album last week. I've got to say, its really pretty damn good. I never really liked any of the previous Brit bands of the week (Libertines, Franz Ferdinand, etc) But this one is legit.
