I'm still planning on it. But i'm gonna wait to see who we get in the draw. It might be too good to pass up. To be honest though, i don't know if i've got it in me for another European excursion this year, at least not this soon. I'd say its a 90% chance that i'll definitely be in Chicago, probably... :D

Edit: I've never hear of Jason Collett, so i dunno

This weather is depressing, and i guess sitting here listening to "Anodyne" by Uncle Tupelo isn't helping any. Great album, but definitely a bummer. I should go take a nap.

Kind of "No Depression" on 'ludes.

Just poppin in to say adios to all my chums on here. Flying out tomorrow...looking forward to meeting Judy, Rick, Yoss and on and on...

I've had the two most unbelievable days: Last night I got a local town's council to agree ask the voters for $8M for some big conservation deals...all while the damn CL game was going on. I was going crazy..couldn't actually watch the match until this afternoon!

So, all the best everyone...next post from London.

case in point from the music draft:

Bluto11 - Bela Fleck and the Flecktones - Live Art

This is officially in the WTF category. Was this going to go early? Sure he's a hell of a banjo player and melded that noodle limp new agey bluegrassy rocky kind of stuff but he's not near the best or most interesting master of the instrument and there's nothing here in terms of songs that should be saved. Hey, I appreciate that some might be wowed by his live thing, but this isn't a memorable concert list. Can't get behind this one but feel free to defend. Gort ain't gonna have it though.

Erin go Bragh means literally "Ireland until the Day of Judgement" in gaelic and the phrase is associated with St. patrick's Day

"Erin Go Bragh" it means "Go Ireland" or something like that, its a slogan usually reserved for green St. Paddy's day hats.

Edit: Apparently Dan knows a little bit more about it than i do. :D

case in point from the music draft:
to be honest, it wouldn't have been my first pick either...or second.

If the draft is under the premise of 'important to music history cds' then I can understand their point of view.

if the draft is for 'my personal favorites I want to suggest to others' tell them to phoook ophph.

the draft is more of a "what music would you want to leave for future generations". i'm planning on going with a lot of different genres, and since i took the Stones first, figured I'd mix it up in the 2nd round.

i really had no clue what to pick, this is why i need some draft gurus!

I'm with you...let me know when your next pic is...i'll hook it up...sure HG will want to contribute.

if it hasn't gone by the time you go next use either

Paul Simon 'Graceland'

or

Run DMC "Run DMC"

guaranteed rep. if you need a description, i'll be happy to oblige.

Well, "Tanks" for teaching us the true meaning of Erin Go Bragh. ;) I'm half Irish too, but i'm afraid that i really don't know much of the culture. I don't even like Guiness. I did like "Darby O'Gill and the Little People" though. :D

GP Is that the name of a band or an obscure quote from "The Leprachaun"?
