i'll be around later, as I'll be listening to the IWU Titans face Lawrence in the D3 Sweet 16. Lawrence are the only undefeated team left in college basketball, on any level, and the game is at Lawrence. Go Titans!!

Hey Mikey-can you text me the scores on Sunday? I would go to watch the match at the Brewhouse but my match starts at 1:00 and would not be able to make it on time! Thanks!
Consider it done!

We're the Windy City Irish-where craic is always best
Where every day is Paddy's Day and everyone's a guest
If you're Irish on the North Side or Irish on the West
Welcome to the South Side come join our Irish Fest!
We're the South Side Irish as our fathers were before
We come from the Windy City and we're Irish to the core
From Bridgeport to Beverly from Midway to South Shore
We're the South Side Irish-Let's sing it out once more!
Our parents came from Mayo, from Cork and Donegal.
We come from Sabina, St. Kilian's and St. Gall St. Leo, Visitation, Little Flower and the rest.
The South Side parishes are mighty-they're the best!
We're the South Side Irish as our fathers were before
We come from the Windy City and we're Irish to the core
From Bridgeport to Beverly from Midway to South Shore
We're the South Side Irish-Let's sing it out once more!
We live on the South Side-Mayor Daley lived here too
The Greatest Irish Leader that Chicago ever knew and he was always so proud of his South Side Irish roots!
So here's to His Honor to his memory we'll be true.
We're the South Side Irish as our fathers were before
We come from the Windy City and we're Irish to the core
From Bridgeport to Beverly from Midway to South Shore
We're the South Side Irish-Let's sing it out once more!
We sing the songs our fathers sang when they were growing up
Rebel songs of Erin's Isle in the South Side Irish Pubs
and when it comes to baseball-we have two favorite clubs
The Go-Go White Sox... and whoever plays the Cubs!

Ok Dan, if you're doing Irish songs with a Chicago connection here's my favourite. Cheerful it ain't, but it's still a good song.
In the city of Chicago
As the evening shadows fall
There are people dreaming
Of the hills of Donegal
Eighteen forty seven
Was the year it all began
Deadly pains of hunger
Drove a million from the land
They journeyed not for glory
Their motive wasn't greed
A voyage of survival
Across the stormy sea
Some of them knew fortune
Some of them knew fame
More of them knew hardship
Died upon the plain
They spread throughout the nation
They rode the railroad cars
Brought their songs and music
To ease their lonely hearts

Wow just looked at the thread, not very 'I'll out obscure you' yet which is good. Lots of celebrated classics.
The only head scratcher has to be Second Coming by the Stone Roses. Possibly the biggest drop off in quality from debut to follow up ever and it only took six years to make. Reminds me of the scene in Shaun of the Dead when they threw it at the zombies because it shit.
You didn't ask, but I suggest The Kinks 'Village Green Preservation Society' ;)
Nobody's picked a Smiths album yet either..
Here's a good site for this type of thing to jog your memory http://www.acclaimedmusic.net/ (http://www.aclaimedmusic.net), the dudes that run the site tabulate all of the year end best of polls and make master polls from them. Another good one is http://www.rocklist.net.

just so everyone knows, the IWU Titans made the Final Four for D3, so those with Fox Sports Virginia (or whatever) can watch the Final Four on TV.
