Ten years later.... some of the players are still active.

Au revoir.

Amazing to think that it has been 10 years, though. Must've meant I was only 9 when the ad came out... and it still remains my favourite ad of all time.

Also kind of fitting, given a certain Champion's League result yesterday. ;)

More amazing, Maldini, Ronaldo, Rui Costa, Figo and Kuivert are still around. Brolin probably could still be playing if he had better luck. Only Cantona and Campos are retired.

Ian Wright has also retired.

But great AD, Maldini is a Gangsta!!! He is the star of that Ad for me.

I always loved this commercial, especially seeing Maldini attempting to speak English with his Italian accent "Maybe their friendly...". Nike should do a remake of this commercial. Kind of like "Good vs. Evil 2" with new players.

That would be great as opposed to the one with Cantona now.

Every time i see it i feel ashamed, they act like the Kung-Fu on the pitch is bad, Cantona did it too a fan, kinda hypocritical... BUT what really gets me, is the way they make the Brazil out to be the kings of great behaviour, sportmanship, flair and all the good things.

All i say is ADIDAS, make a clip with the Brazil-Turkey game in WC2002 first round. Show Ilhan Mansiz with that PHENOMENOL RAINBOW over Roberto Carlos for flair and show Rivaldo when he did his antics by the corner flag getting hit on shin and holding his face like he was stabbed there!

FOR SHAME!

One note: the ad had different version. this is the European version. In the US, Brolin was replaced by Joe-Max Moore.

I prefer The Parklife advert with the likes of Cantona and Wright playing Sunday League.

Can anyone post a link?
