i just saw a clip of theo walcott, only 16, like freddy adu, they both could turn out to be amazing players playing for the country in 2010...imagine that...i remember now long ago when i saw an ADIDAS ad having a picture of a man's shadow about to come out from the tunnel full of lights and the caption was "will this be you?" in a US jersey....remember that commercial where US soccer was big and everyone was watching the 2010 WC final?? damn i wonder where that commercial went...im lookin for it...

Lets worry about this summer, and all, and with how crazy things have turned out with Greece winning Euro 2004, i dont rule anything out for 2006. (except for TnT, Angola and Togo going ot the finals)
But hey, you get honors calling it first here if it HAPPENS.

I think we will do very well in 2010, but not the finals, unless a lot of luck falls our way. Not ruling it out, but with really key guys like Reyna, BMB retiring, I think that would be what stands in our way for taking 2010. I think 2014 is the better bet, but I hope I'm wrong.
My question is where Adu would play on the team. LD is our attackmid for now, and I don't see us going without a defensive mid.

I call Netherlands vs. South Africa, after a series of unfortunate forfeits due to squads not being able to decipher MapQuest directions containing too many Afrikaaner terms.
The U.S. reaches the semifinals where it is favored over South Africa thanks to Michael Bradley, DMB, Cory Gibbs, former Ajax winger Freddy Adu, and trainer John O'Brien only to be undone by an ill-timed click as the Brown-educated Gibbs tries to impress by asking directions in Xhosa.
Needless to say, the Dutch win again.

You are all insane. It will obviously be Scotland-Peru in 2010

Very nice! Well, not so nice for the US, but funny nonetheless. Although I, for one, would prefer him to try Zulu, being the most understood there from what I understand.
Perhaps we could even have a final between two click-speaking teams. Swaziland and Zimbabwe anybody?

I don't think this is news or analysis. Should have probably gone in the general US Men's forum.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and predict a 2010 final between Bahrain and San Marino.
I thought people with yellow cards weren't able to start threads.

Why exactly, if you don't want to add anything intelligent to thread, don't hate on it.
