Having seen the match on Gol TV the most marked impression I came away with was that Germany let in a couple soft goals at the start and came unravelled as a result. The second was particularly painful as they fell asleep on a quick restart to a set play. Italy's last two goals were well worked and impressive, although the openness of play at that point lent itself to counterattacks.

I fully expect the U.S. to avoid such blatant mental lapses, because if they don't, they have no chance (with visions of U.S. v. Poland four years ago dancing through my head).
