yeap, it's time to pick up some shattered pieces left on the floor. The advantage is home and Westfalenstadion; and not much more!

All of us US are worried that we are meeting you at a terrible time. It's never fun to run in to a team after they just had a bad loss. We get to see how far we've come by how well we can hold off an enraged German side.

I'm not necessarily saying US will get a result, but I think we'll come out and give a good game. This game should have as close to WC intensity as either team will see before the cup, given the pressure on the Germans based on the last game. I expect an EXTREMELY physical, tough game by both sides, regardless of the score. Speaking for our side, we will need that, with the tough physical teams we'll be facing in our group. I feel that if US can do well in the physical matchups, we will do ok.

Most of our Euros will not be there. Just won't be available because it's not a FIFA date.
Want to see how far MLS has come? Well, here is test time, and a big one at that.
Have no expectations at all. Just want to see how these guys play against a team that wants to redeem itself, in a difficult atmosphere.
Good litmus test.

Ignorance is bliss I guess.
Then again, he is from SA, almost all SA's feel everyone is boring except forthem.
Now only if someone outside of the big two down there could ever get a result that matters anywhere. Oh well.
Perfect example of someone out of touch with reality, relying on old outdated stereotypes.
Oh yeah, is Cubillas playing next match? Match ignorance with ignorance.
More fun like that.

well the games i have seen of the German team team to be just brute force
and physical games where lots of crosses are put in and long passes ... less
of short passing , dribbling one touch futbol basically the opposite of JOgo Bonito

a big test for both sides on 22/03/06 (formatted for our european friends)...makes more sense to me anyway :)
i don't exactly know what to make of the possible outcome for either side. a loss by germany could either be disastrous for their collective confidence or simply treated as another player evaluation session. a loss by the US side could be demoralizing after the recent victory in europe against a european side (then seen as a fluke in bad weather, etc...) but again it could be touted as just another evaluation session. on the other hand, i think a US victory would help the US confidence more than a german victory helps germany.
hmm...i look for a 1-1 or 2-2 draw in this one. the US will score 1st, then germany with 2 unanswered, and the US will pull back level in stoppage time :)
i think it will be a lively match. good luck to both, especially the US and let's hope that neither side looses a player to injury. keep it clean guys.
Woohoo, did I see Kehl?
It's a bit weird though that Klinsmann wouldn't call up Manuel Friedrich when he was in top-form but does it now that he's struggling.

Klinsi finally chooses Kehl!
I'm a little dissapointed that he didn't choose Fahne as well, but beggars can't be choosers.
