The Old Lady Hertha

Im not so sure about Arne Hertha. He has been miles better than the Italy game though.
He's been totally isolated on the right side, but he has put in the best crosses (Hint: It hit a German head!!!)
Its been all Ballack for me. Defence, Offence, whatever it is, it is always Ballack. Not right now. He's been good defensive I guess, but he looks useless offensively.
No use badmouthing Kehl. Schneider has been absolutely HOPELESS as well. Dint put a single cross in. And why does Asamoah even feature in the team? Wasn't he supposed to be our lynchpin in the DM role? He has shown no confidence. However, Mertesacker has been horrendous too, it was hilarious when he tried to help out the attack and gave it promptly away to the Americans
No combination, nothing at all. Get Boro in there PLEASE and Schweini if you please. Im not saying it will solve anything but atleast its going to be better than this.
And whats amazing for me is HOW many balls the US defenders win against the likes of Asamoah, Poldi and Klose. that shuts out our first line of attack. The Kahn GK is always won by US players ahead of the Germans....
So weird.
I agree here.

Ugh, horrible game so far.
Friedrich has been good in defense but not aggressive enough in attack.
Schneider has to go and this 3 forward line is not working!
I agree, Borowski and The Pig need to enter the game, maybe Owoyomela. This team is screaming for a guy like Odonkor who has blistering pace. He would run wild on his side.

Maybe, just maybe folks...we Americans aren't so bad at this "fusbol" thing after all heh?
Is it so much to ask for some respect, i mean our fringe squad players are doing pretty well against a full strength German side..IN DORTMUND!!
Good luck in the second half, you guys really need a win here to get the pressure off. As for us, a win or draw is a great result of the boys and a good sign of our WC preperation.

Once again Arne has been isolated on the right side...on 3 or 4 occasions he held the ball in good positions and no one came to help him.
However, credits to America. They have played well and have bullied essentially Germany and have kept the ball well and created a few chances too.

It's not so much about AMerica being good because I doubt this side could take on the likes of Italy, Brazil or Holland etc.... It is more a case of Germany playing real uninspired football at the moment.
Good luck right back at ya by the way......

Asamoah is making a decent game, he's sure done better than Klose so far. It's Schneider who really sucks this time and while Ballack is running a lot he's just not much of a playmaker. Mertesacker was sorta poor as well.
Unfortunately this performance shows how important a top form Schneider is to the team. We'll see what Klinsmann comes up with.
