8000 fans showed up at the training session of the Germany NT at Dortmund.
The expectation is boiling.

I was thinking the same. No one from the WC 2002 team has shown any improvement.
2002-2006
Kahn 2002 > 2006
Klose 2002 < 2006
Ballack 2002 = 2006
It is difficult to say, because he was in top form in that competition. I think he will rise to the ocassion here too.
Metzelder 2002 >> 2006
Schneider 2002 > 2006
Frings 2002 = 2006
Asamoah 2002 = 2006
The only player who has shown any improvement is Klose.
About the same thinking except:
Klose 2002 << 2006
Frings 2002 < 2006
Lehmann 2002?? < 2006

"What was going on there" is simple. Germany is a "footballing nation", the United States is not.
In case that wasn't simple enough for you, in Germany, football is king. There's no other sport to touch it.
In the United States, "soccer" is about seventh on the list and many here still consider it a game for women and children.
In case you still don't get it, when the national team loses in Germany, there's national outrage.
If the USA national team loses, almost no one bats an eye. Most don't give a s#it.
Got it now??

I'm about as German as Budweiser. :)
The city of Budweis (České Budějovice) is in the Czech Republic, by the way.
Anyway, will this game be televised in the US? I'd like to see my two favorite national teams play!

I think you mean to say no one even knows we have a team. I would be suprised if 1% of our population knew about the match in Germany tomorow.
with that being said the USA is going to steamroll Germany 7-0 :D

If that happens Klinnsman should be fired on the spot.

I doubt he will play. I think he was just brought into training to make up the numbers.

and USA:
Keller
Cherundolo Pope Gibbs Pearce
Olsen Mastroeni Klein Convey
Twellman Johnson
substitutes USA: Hahnemann, Feilhaber, Feilhaber, Conrad,
Zavagnin, Ching, Hejduk, Berhalter, Wolff
Oh wow, this is a first; both Feilhaber twins used in the same NT game.

i know this all, i know that in the USA is Baseball, Basketball, A. Football and Icehockey the Top Sports. i watch the NBA, because of Dirk Nowitzki
But 40 years is a long time and in the US Qualifying i see just Mexico who has a high level, so it must be easy for an nation like the usa to qualify.. no matter
i know that the americans think football is an kids and women sport, but the german women are WC-Champions and EU-Champions + Birgit Prinz is 3rd time in a row votet to the World best Women Footballplayer, so germany is there also good.
by the way, in germany we have the BEST Handball league in the world, we was the Top Nation at the Olympic Winter Games and we have a guy who is called Michael Schumacher(best F1 Driver ever). when he drives, sit more peoples in front of their tv as when the bundesliga plays.
we have many other sports, we are the european nation with the highest population, we do not have just football.
i know the american proudness. its not aloud to say something about it. im soooo sorry, but i dont said anything bad

Still tickets available
According to kicker DFB already sold 57.500 out of 64.000 tickets,
but this means, that there are still 6.500 tickets available.
They are sold directly at the stadium or at the office of BVB Dortmund.
Prices between 45 and 60 €.

If i would´t have tests currently and wouldn´t be a poor student,

I hope Klinsmann will see reason and ditch Owomoyela. The guy isn't fit for international duty in top form, currently he's far from even that. Friedrich ( Arne ) hasn't been stellar either as of late, but if the team supports him this time  and won't leave him to defend two(+) world class attackers all on his own, he'll manage.
