Currently a slight mess, as we have been delayed but hopefully we will catch up.

Alex, Marquez, and Van Buyten were all defenders we had rated highly.

Nobody's a bigger Vicente fan then me, but his recent injury troubles kinda swayed Johno and I to pick Villa, simply because he's on fire at the moment.
Love the Alex pick.

I agree with the first part, but I have always felt that Alex is far too slow.

He can't possibly be a worse choice than ***** ***** and ****.

alex's supposed lack of speed is exaggerated, and considering he's center back, pretty nitpicky in the first place - he is more skilled and nimble than given credit for outside of holland

Teso that was a brilliant pick. I think he was the best defender in the draft after I picked Rio, and I was aiming for him. No one in here mentioned anything about him, or judging from picks I thought he would come back down to me. Well, my second lesson of the draft that I learned.... Roll on draft...

I was planning to take Van Buyten over Alex, but I obviously did not get the chance.

Alex was going to be my back up pick had Van Buyten been taken. :(

Has something to do with Rio being the best at something good perhaps.

van buyten and rio are excellent, no doubt, but there were three better defender picks between those selections

Daniel Van Buyten... this year.
Carlos Puyol will be envy of every team next.
Daniel Van Buyten i bet now u see what playing at Nirvaan Dhanrajh FC for just a season could do?
Nirvaan Dhanrajh FC 2006
1)Carlos Puyol
2)Zinedine Zidane

Thats a discussion for another thread....Anyone who has actually watched him consistantly this season would have a far more accurate opinion of him, unless he or she is biased. Not calling anyone out, just saying.

I hope I can pick soon enough. Billy has my pick anyway. I hope he lands to me!
