Savage just single handedly ruined an Aston Villa attack by running around like a madman. :D
Dickov on for Sinama-Pongolle.
Good to see we got Dickov locked up for a few more years earlier this week as well.

out of the last 21 points available at ewood, blackburn have got 19 of em.
ewood is a damn fortress.
Which is nice, given that the home form has been bad over the last two seasons.
Strangely enough, our away form has been down this season as compared to last.

The only one that totally went our way was Portsmouth beating Man City to keep them off of our heels a bit.
Wigan won, and Bolton won over West Ham, which backs West Ham up a bit, but keeps Bolton right there with a couple of games in hand. I was hoping for a draw there.
This top half of the table is as tight I have seen.

Friedel just got MOTM. Nice.
Given West Ham has scored aproximately 97 goals against us this season I can handle them losing instead of a tie. Even if it as Bolton. Ugh.
Where is our Canadian? Is she watching the game at a bar?

and we're up to fif' for a bit, so let's hope Arsenal loses tomorrow.

Great result and Rovers ought to have a run of wins starting today. It will be good to pile on points to close the season. Boro next at the fortress, Sunderland away and Wigan back at the fortress. Need 12 points from these matches.

I'm too bust watching the game to post much, but I will say that Aston Villa has had a ton of pressure over the last few minutes, with Friedel and Nelsen coming up with goal saving saves and tackles respectively.
Gray may have injured his shoulder in a clash Luke Moore.
24 minutes in.
we could have been 6 nil down at half time we were poor in the first have but second half we got the breaks at the right time. i dont think hughes should have changed the team pederson did not look fit to me.

Regardng Aston's sponsorship... I always assumed the logo on their kit was "COWS" not "CDWS" (I noticed the difference on Sat.'s match). Too bad it isn't cows, which is the name of the Southpark Elementary school team. Which Southpark character do you suppose Sorenson is?
They should be burning Sorenson in effigy in Birmingham, right about now...

I watched the match at home sans beer. Nice to know I am being missed... *sigh*

This game really shows how keepers can affect a game.
Friedel has been perfect and come up with some great saves... ;)
+1
Great post...I agree... I love to watch Friedel...a real professional!
