A new article on the FIFA World Cup website says that S. Korea beat us 3-0 this year. I know that we scrimmaged them in practice last month (which could hardly be bragged about by either side), but I don't remember it being 3-0.

It was a closed scrimmage that was basically a spur of the moment type of deal. The only reason it happened was because South Korea was in Carson to play the Galaxy. We played a weak team.

But wasn't the score 2-1 against the USMNT? Didn't they beat the galaxy 3-0? And does a scrimmage for 3 thirty minute periods count as a friendly like the articles seems to suggest?

it's stupid, it wasn't a friendly as it says. it was a scrimmage and it was 2-1.

Yes, it was 2-1. FIFA made an error.

Like how they say we're ranked 37th on our World Cup Group Analysis page.

It's not a big deal, but I, like thousands of others, read the FIFA site's articles every day. Of course it won't affect how we play or how teams play us, but it doesn't mean that I want thousands of people reading that we got beat 3-0 by South Korea in a friendly that never happened.

Haha, I emailed FIFA. They're suprisingly easy to get a hold of and they tend to respond within a couple of days in suprisingly good English.

Eh, let them think that it is true. I like it when the USNT is underestimated.

Maybe Beckham was keeping score.

This seems to happen fairly often. Most recently I remember there site mentioned about our win vs T&T in CT something like the stadium was a sea of red - the T&T fans vastly outnumbered the US fans.(of course not knowing that we wear red for the US games)

Don't tell them that. They've made it clear an error has never been made at FIFA.
