Alot can happen in 3 months. By popular belief the four that are going are McBride, EJ, Twllman, and Wolff. Who's next in line just in case?

Chris Rolfe gets my vote. I hope he's on the plane for the Germany friendly, Id like to see him do well and make it a little harder on Bruce. id assume Noonan and maybe even Connor have a few votes in here. I dont think anyone who wasnt in camp will be going, so goodbye Cunningham and Gomez. Still, including all of those guys, Rolfe is my "just in case" guy. He has the most upside. I think he has EJ breakout written all over him.

P.S. Ching had better not be anywhere near the point of takeoff for the nats to Dortmond March 22nd.

Edson Buddle will pass Chris Rolfe and wait to the last possible minute to show his talents.

it'll probably be Ching for Twellman or McBride but it would probably be Rolfe for Wolff or Johnson.

Don't count out guys like Jaqua or even Cunningham. Bruce will look at the big picture of who bring what to the team.

Then I will be obviously crossing my fingers for McBride and Twellman to stay healthy.

I can't possibly see anyone outside of Rolfe, Ching or Noonan getting looks. Possibly Casey. I second the Rolfe for EJ Wolff, and Ching for Twellman, BMB. Though Ching sucks as of late, but maybe that goal during his last game will ring in a better period.

We'll go with three,move Donovan up,add a midfilder,and play 4-5-1.

if he's fit, it is probably noonan because he can play in central midfield as well - if JOB suddenly turned up fit (fingers crossed), then maybe rolfe instead

Pat Noonan, would be my bet, even though he really is not a forward at the international level.

I don't think there is a 5th, because the candidates aren't very good and Dempsey & Donovan can play forward in a pinch. Plus as Martin writes, Noonan might make the squad as a combo midfielder/forward.

I would agree that it could be a combo mid/forward. The fact that Noonan was listed as the 5th forward for the Poland match (before the injury) spoke volumes.

Otherwise, I think the only other possibilities are Ching, who BA has lauded for work ethic (although I can't see BA taking a guy who just practices well), and Casey, who has returned to Mainz and is getting some PT there already.

Been saying for long time that he belongs on the roster. Has the size/strength with speed and skill to go along with it. Can create for partner up front, ala Josh Wolff. Hope like hell he blows up in early April and gets call up for Jamaica game.

Im almost positive that well NEVER use the 4-5-1 again.

EVER!

Depends on how they're playing during the run up.

We haven't seen Eskandarian for a long while due to his injury, and that injury will no doubt have lengering effects on his mind.

I'd say just add another midfielder, use Donovan as a striker. Maybe give Herc a go.

If we don't have O'Brien, Donovan is becoming too valuable playing right behind the strikers... Perhaps Bruce would use him as a striker again but I'm starting to think his striker days for the nats are coming to an end..
