I might point out that Inter-Ajax is on March 14 while the other Tuesday games are March 7. :)

Mourinho on Herr Dr. Merk in 2004:

"He must have been let out of prison to referee this match."

I remember seeing the highlight of that send off briefly.

Suffice it to say his (Hr. Merk) is the only opnion that matters.

There are several German officials with the title 'Dr' before their name! :D

As for the appointments, it was always between Merk and Michel for the big one, and Michel got it. Only kidding, Merk is a good appointment for the game, although he might as well forget pleasing both sets of managers, players and supporters now.

Great to see two English officials on their games. Graham is with Mike Tingey and Glenn Turner - surely suggesting this will be his trio at the WC - whilst Mike is with Dave Babski and Peter Kirkup (IMO 2 of our 3 best ARs). Good luck to them.

As for us, I'm happy with Michel. He tends to stop the game far too much, but at least he should have no trouble keeping the game under control.

Spoken like an Englishman. ;) You guys are hard pressed to stop a game for any reason short of Apocalypse.
