Dave and Tim are going to be playing about a dozen shows in March and April at small college venues, 3500-7000 people. I am definitely going to the show in Kenosha, Wisconsin on April 4th. Anyone else in that area going to go to the show? I might be buying up a bunch of tickets for other shows and trying to scalp them as Dave will be playing such small venues, the tickets should go pretty high. If anyone's interested in tickets, let me know.

Buying tickets just so you can scalp them makes you a dickhead.

No, D I C K H E A D. Sorry, I don't know you, but "smart businessmen" who manipulate supply in order to jack up secondary-market prices are unnecessarily and unfairly gouging consumers. Besides, ticket scalping is illegal in Wisconsin.

Manipulation of supply and demand is what business is all about my friend. While scalping may not be ethical, it sure is profitable.

I agree with Obie. If you are a fan of the band but choose to buy more tickets than you need just for the purpose of feasting on another fan's desire to also enjoy that band's music, you are being an a$$.

I think capitlaism is better than socialism but do we really need it in every single aspect of our lives. Can't people just once in a while cut somebody a break and let them go to a concert at the face value of a ticket.

We aren't talking about ordinary products like guns and butter. It's music. It feeds your soul. It's gives you that cool feeling that music fans crave.

Be a smart businessman in other aspects of your life.

I'm not limiting the supply in any way, the next Joe down the line will have as much opportunity as I do tomorrow when tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Maybe if I could buy as many tickets as I wanted, 3 days before they went on sale to the general public it would be unethical. But I'm buying the tickets fair and square, and re-selling them to someone who didn't want to spend an hour on a website waiting for tickets to become available, or someone who was too lazy to do it. Nevertheless, I'm not shoving these tickets in anyone's pockets and stealing their money out of their wallet, if they feel the price is worth it, they'll pay it.

It's called the music industry for a reason, if people want to go to a concert and pay face value for a ticket, then get off your ass and buy them when they go onsale. It's simple economics, if demand is high and supply is limited, prices will go up. Concerts do not have some aura of invincibility around it making them some magical place where the rules of economics have no effect.

Tickets will be available at the student union building on campus. I would assume there'll be a pretty good lineup. I don't think they'll be available for more than probably a half hour at most of the locations on this tour.

Tickets can be purchased over the internet at www.tickets.muohio.edu.

Tickets can be purchased over the phone at 513.529.3200 on Saturday morning at 10 a.m.

I don't think Tickets are available on ticketmaster for that show Richard.

Unfortunately, the show I was planning on going to is only selling tickets on a lottery basis and by cash orders at the box office on the university campus on saturday morning. I live 9 hours away from Wisconsin, so it looks like no Dave show for me. With the size of venues, and the number of shows Dave and Tim are playing, this will probably be the hottest ticket of spring. The last time they did a tour (I believe it was '96), Dave was popular, but nowhere near where he is today.

Hopefully they'll make a DVD from one of the shows from this tour. Dave doesn't really have a good solo video, besides storytellers, and that's getting to be a long time ago.

I just don't understand why someone would wanna pay 50 dollars to stand on the lawn with the local chapter of the Abercrombie and Fitch Army.

I guess I view music and the music industry as separate entities. The music industry is merely music with all of the magic and wonder sucked out of it.

Congratulations on asisting the industry on sucking the passion out of a great art form.

All shows on this tour are $50 plus service charges of course. I know Dave's fee for this tour was out of this world, my best friend is on the program council at the U I attend, and they put together a $115,000 bid for a date on this tour, and were turned down. He's probably walking away with at least 100k per show.

evil scalper. i can't tell you how much i loathe scalping/scalpers. i can't believe you would scalp tickets to music you love so much. i've had extra tickets to concerts that i could've made tons of money off of, but didn't...because i know how many times i've been that guy that didn't get a ticket because a show sold out quickly.
