What a game that was. I have no idea why we didn't win - We could have scored about 7 against them when we could be bothered to attack. Big Mac's absence hurt our side as Savage is still morbidly afraid of shooting for goal. Brooker was about 10 yards ON when the pass was made to his header that should have put us in front in the first half.
Feck, it was blatantly obvious that the Dolman lino couldn't see a damn thing in the sunlight, as when he wasn't flag-waving he was covering his face. That baseball cap came a half too late.
Forest's goal offers no excuses, as it was a terrific shot and Basso could do little to keep it out. As for Ade himself his kicking was terrible for much of the game but he's as good a stopper as Phillips. It's common place at the Gate for City to get 9/10 good shots at goal without result and for the other team to get one chance and get it in the net.
Russel's goal saved us from another embarrasment but Murray's absolute peach of a shot at the end was the best we got to winning it. About 10 degrees shallower and the extra 2pts would have been ours. As it was, the result itself was fair and we're entrenched mid-table for now. Yeovil losing on Tuesday night will suit us down to the ground for our visit to Franchi$£ FC on Friday night...
