Order for the 1st round - update to follow

ALL TIMES ARE GMT!!

Here are the official lisiting times for this years World Draft. Please adhere to your timeslot. As you can see if everyone sticks to the GMT they have given the draft will move superfluously throughout the odd rounds. The 3 drafting teams who are late are going to have to give me their preferred times and be slotted in at that time in the next odd round of the draft. You’ll have to take your first pick at the end of the 1st round- if it is not a suitable time for you please make sure you PM somebody your pick.

Some of the timeslots here are maybe 30minutes outside of what you asked for, but in some instances two, three or even four people asked for the same timeslot so it was worked out on a first come, first serve basis. It shouldn’t cause much problems anyway.

[/URL]
Ronaldo de Assis Moreira (born March 21, 1980 in Porto Alegre, Brazil) is a footballer more commonly known as Ronaldinho Gaúcho. Ronaldinho is Portuguese for Little Ronaldo, and the nickname was given to distinguish the then rising star from fellow Brazilian superstar footballer Ronaldo, who was playing for the Italian club F.C. Internazionale at the time. Gaúcho is the nickname for people from the Brazilian player's Rio Grande do Sul region.

He was part of Brazil's 2002 World Cup winning team and was voted 2005 European Footballer of the Year by the European sports press, the 2004 and 2005 FIFA World Player of the Year by national team captains and coaches, as well as the 2005 FIFPro World Player of the Year by players from leagues all over the world, making Ronaldinho the current holder of all three major individual football awards.

When he was a child, Ronaldinho played both futsal and beach football. He made his first newspaper appearance at the age of 13, after scoring 23 goals in a football match.[1] He made a name for himself as the top scorer at the under-17 world championship in Egypt, then began his professional career at Gręmio, where he played from 1998 to 2001. He made his first appearance for the Brazilian national team on June 26, 1999, scoring against Venezuela to help the team win the Copa América. He scored 27 goals in his first 62 matches for Brazil.During his time at Gremio many clubs were rumoured to be vying for his signature including Leeds.

In 2001, Ronaldinho signed a five-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and started playing at the beginning of the season. However, even though Ronaldinho had been a free agent from July 1, 2001, Gręmio demanded compensation from PSG and received $4.5 million. During his time at PSG, the manager, Luis Fernandez, claimed that Ronaldinho was too focused on the Parisian nightlife rather than on his football.

In 2002, Ronaldinho helped Brazil win the World Cup. One of the highlights of the tournament was an outrageous (if fortunate) 35-metre lob he scored against England in the quarter-finals in Shizuoka, although he was sent off soon after a harsh foul on Danny Mills.

In 2003, Ronaldinho made it known he wanted to leave PSG after they failed to qualify for any European competitions. That set off a bidding war among the top clubs for his services. On July 19, FC Barcelona snapped him up for €27 million, beating Manchester United to his signature. Ronaldinho justified their purchase, leading them to a second-place finish in La Liga during the 03/04 season. Together with Samuel Eto'o, Deco, Ludovic Giuly, and Henrik Larsson he comprises part of an awesome strike force which reaped the 2004/05 La Liga title for FC Barcelona.

This season is shaping up to be his best yet.

John Terry
CB
England and Chelsea

John George Terry (born 7 December 1980) is an English professional football player. Terry is a strong, hard-tackling centre back, who is currently captain of Chelsea in the English Premier League, and a regular member of the England national team.

Terry was born in Barking, East London and attended Eastbury Comprehensive School. Before being spotted by Chelsea, he played for Sunday League Team Senrab FC. This team featured many future stars including Terry himself, Bobby Zamora, Paul Konchesky, Ledley King and J Lloyd Samuel. He rose through the Chelsea youth system, playing for the club's Youth and Reserve teams before making his Chelsea debut in October 1998. He spent three months with East London rivals West Ham before in March 2000 he joined Nottingham Forest on loan for two months. He wears the number 26 shirt at Chelsea.

In season 2003/04, his strong, committed and inspiring displays led to him being handed the captain's armband by manager Claudio Ranieri when Marcel Desailly was out of the side. He played very well in the absence of the French legend, establishing himself as a genuine contender for a first team slot. Following Desailly's retirement, new Chelsea manager José Mourinho wanted Terry as his club captain - a choice which was justified throughout the 2004/5 season. Terry scored eight goals and was voted Player of the Year by his fellow professionals in England. In September 2005 he was selected as a member of the World XI at the FIFPro awards. The team was chosen by a vote of professional footballers in 40 countries.

Terry is a regular in the England national team, having earned 21 caps as of 14 November 2005. He made his debut in June 2003 against Serbia and Montenegro. He played for his country at Euro 2004, and England Manager Sven-Goran Eriksson said recently he believed Terry to be his first-choice centre back, ahead of the likes of Rio Ferdinand and Sol Campbell. In a game against Poland, he had the honour of wearing England's captain armband, replacing Michael Owen as captain after the latter was taken off. He was the heart of the Chelsea defense that was the most well-marshalled in Football league history in the 2004/05 season, conceding only 15 League goals. In 2005 Terry was voted best defender of the UEFA Champions League tournament, after not only defending and organising his team superbly but scoring four goals in the tournament including the winning goal against Barcelona in the second round.

Early in his career, Terry was involved in an unsavoury incident in a West London nightclub with fellow players Jody Morris and Des Byrne. He was charged with assault and affray but later cleared. During the affair, he received a temporary ban from the national side, which cost him a place in England's 2002 World Cup squad. However, he is now praised as a model professional. Along with Frank Lampard, Claude Makélélé and Petr Cech, Terry is regarded as a part of the "spine" of the Chelsea team. Being a Londoner who came through the club's youth system, he is especially popular with Chelsea fans. Widely regarded as the best header of the ball in the world, Terry offers an almost unmarkable threat at set-pieces as he has an uncanny ability to time and place his runs with the fall of the ball. His headers against Arsenal and Charlton in the Premier League provided examples of his excellent heading ability.

Deco (Anderson Luis de Souza)
Position: Central Midfielders/Attacking Midfielder

Outstanding playmaker who can dictate a teams play from the middle of the field as well as any player in the world. Despite a small stature, he is a good tackler of the ball and wins his fair share of duels, while also possessing a great workrate. While he thrives as a creater (most assists in the 2004 CL) he is also a solid finisher though he has been employed in a more defensive role by Barcelona, which has likely affected his goal total (along with no longer taking set pieces).

Deco has won a champions league with Porto, the Champions League MVP, and thrives in big game situations. He also has a disturbing tendency to dive more than any player in the game (but yet I am still picking him...).

Me and SoccerStallion take:

Fabio Cannavaro, Defender

http://bianconeri.tripod.com/picjuve/cannavaro.jpg

Fabio Cannavaro (born September 13, 1973, Naples) is an Italian football player, as of 2005 the captain of the Italian national team.

Although being not tall for a central defender (176 cm), Cannavaro is considered one of the best defenders of the 1990s and early 2000s. As for his career in the Italian championship, he played Napoli (1992-95), Parma (1995-2002), Inter Milan (2002-04) and Juventus (2004-current). In Juventus, he has re-joined his ex-Parma partners Lilian Thuram and Gianluigi Buffon. They formed one of the best defensive lines in Serie A and Cannavaro won his first scudetto with Juventus in 2005.

Cannavaro, alongside Alessandro Nesta, forms for Italian defence one of the best defences in the world. Cannavaro is especially noted for his reading of the game, an ability that often sees him make countless interceptions during games. It is this attribute that has compensated for his lack of height, making him one of the finest centre-backs to have come out of Italy.

As for Italy, Cannavaro has earned over 90 caps. He played for his country in the 1998 and 2002 World Cups, as well as Euro 2000 and Euro 2004.

His younger brother, Paolo Cannavaro, is also a central defender, and currently plays for Parma A.C.. The two brothers played alongside each other at Parma from 2000 until 2002, when Fabio left for Inter.
