I think that the last 3 days have been very interesting to follow as fans of the USMNT.
On Wednesday, we played a strong European opponent in Europe, and won.
Yesterday, Jonathan Spector (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=321363) played a really strong game against Liverpool, despite a top EPL team constantly trying to rattle him. He's young, and not ready to be a world-beater yet, but his attitude impressed me tremendously. He made a few dangerous runs into Red territory, never looked beat or tired, and helped the other backline members when needed. Plus, he got a much-needed haircut and my fiance thought he looked good.
And, today, Claudio Reyna (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=321976) made his return to ManCity. Reyna's health isn't something we can depend on all the time, but this gives him time to heal for Germany. Plus, he won't have the wear of an entire season as he prepares for his international swan-song on a club who needs his unique skills.
