I hate to say this but a lot rides on whether the refs at the WC buy these guys falling down.A HUGE part of Baros' game is to get near the penalty area and flop like a fish.Nedved has that rep too though I have not seen him play much. It is a real threat to the USA if we get refs who humor these jokers droppinng like shot deer.

I saw Nedved take the most ridiculous dive EVER like last week for Juvi. I think they were playing Lecce ( not sure) . The funny part was the ref actually called it a penalty. I need to find a clip cause that shit was so exagerated any ref with a brain should of Red Carded him.

I assume you are talking about the one where he was dribbling away from goal? He was clipped, no doubt about that. He exaggarated it but what player in Europe doesn't these days? Worrying about flopping is the least of our worries this summer.

He was not clipped.. Infact in the replay he was about 2 inches from getting clipped but he was on full dive already. I forgot the show they were analyzing this replay over and over. The main topic was about having FiFA form some kind of committie that would punish this type of shit.

It's funny how I watched the game and saw him fouled.
The Lecce coach said nothing about the penalty being incorrect but questioning the card.

Also the match report states he was fouled, no mention of a controversy about it.

Well considering out in EU (specially Italy) diving is pretty common. Offcourse their won't be any "controversy". It's not a myth or a stereotype against Italian soccer.
I saw the replay and the zoomed in replay. It pretty much summarized what to expect from Nedved . Im not saying the guy plays to cheat ( or does he). He's is a damm good player but that obviously hasen't stopped him from acting in Juve. He has been known for some exagerations in the past and for being a diver anyway.
Perhaps if he would of gone through with the contact it would of still been a Penalty. Fact is he began diving before any contact was meet. Not only did he dive, the guy ********ing flew 10ft into the air.
I know you must love Juve...but you really can't blind yourself to the shit Nedved pulls sometimes.

I did not start this thread for any one ACT but both of these guys are known as professional divers.I have not seen Nedved much but Baros is definitely a professional diver.
Google Milan Baros diving and you get LOADS of entries. Here is a typical one:
Baros was eventually booked after one dive too many but the Addicks were staring down the barrel as the match drifted into its final 10 minutes.

Oh, I said he exaggarated it. See the first post. You keep claiming all these "facts" yet the media doesn't agree with you. Nedved does leave his feet often and often gets calls because of his name but the example you cited wasn't correct. The Italian media LOVES to write and talk about Juve cheating but this wasn't an example of it.
Another issue is the fact that sometimes you must leave your feet to avoid a nasty kick and yet players that do this (often the most talented ones) are criticized for diving before contact was made. Are they expected to continue running right into these fouls and accumulating the injuries that come along with it? Nedved was looking to be fouled, I don't doubt that. The fault lays with the Lecce defender clipping him as Nedved was moving away from goal with no dangerous options.

oh, he is such an amateur next to Baros.Seriously use Goggle for Baros and diving and you get many game reports that either accuse him of diving, or where he was carded for diving. He is a specialist.

Who gives a rats ass.
If we're worrying about what others do we've missed the point.
How about we worry about our team first...
Then we can worry about divers, spitters, complainers, whiners, etc.
I'm more worried about Reyna's health, Donovan's form and EJ's toes.

Thro who can dive with the bets of them, Baros has also had the quietest 10 goals I have evr seen in the EPL. With the exception of yesterday's match winner, most of his goals this season have come at garbage times where either Villa are losing badly or actually winning for a change.

Nedved is a joke. He is one of the best divers in Serie A.

why take the time to read this thread and post on it?
there have been a couple of threads about reyna, donovan, and EJ.
a couple hundred.
the USMNT would be stupid not to be aware of the opponent's tendencies, including the tendency to cheat.

If you guys are worrying about divers,
are you going to go soft on these guys?
answer is NO! you won't
You have to be physical with both.
if you back off them concerning they will dive
they will destroy you because they have more class than most of the US squad combined...
Just my 2 cents.
