He may only save that celebration for special goals like the first one, i noticed he didn't do it in the Sunderland game but i thought it may have had something to do with the pitch.

I loved it against Charlton (away) this season - when he had to move everyone out of the way to do the celebration. Does he do it for Ireland too? I remember him doing a 'shooting an arrow' mime once.

after scoring in the sunderland match, he headed straight for jermain defoe. he seemed to go well out of his way to congratulate him and give credit to the service. it struck me as interesting because he had, just prior to the match (and mido's return from the african nations cup), made (publicly) a fairly big deal about he and defoe being quite able to work together effectively up front.
i kind of got the impression that he'd forgone the celebration to emphasize that point. could just be the product of my overworked imagination, though.

He didnt against Sweden, he ran straight for Mick Byrne instead. Once, earlier in the season, he didnt do it and said it was because his shoulder was hurting, then on Match of the Day 2Good 2Bad they said it was 2Bad because they compared him now doing only a few gunshots after to when he scored the injury time equaliser in the World Cup against Germany (thats stupid, of course he would be more pumped at the World Cup).
EDIT: he did roll, after reviewing the video

I want you to keep being sad for him not rolling. It means he's scoring goals.

He scored, does a roll (no cartwheel/handspring) and sticks his hand up

Scored a wonder goal against the World Cup favourites and then makes himself look like a right plank. Legend.

Eddie once gave him a lift in his car. Or did I hear wrong?

I don't like the roll either, it's just a bit sad. He needs a new celebration!
I hated Hasselbaink's crap cartwheel too. It's rubbish.

He looked straight for Jenas after the goal so that's probably why he didn't (and plus he also had a Defoe hanging off him!).

Robbie's a man - he could do the roll with defoe hanging on him......now that would be something to see! The mental image is making me chuckle...:D

I think it comes down to maturity. As vice captain of Spurs, and captain of his country, he has a responsibility to give credit to his teammates when they make a goal for him. The goal at the weekend was all down to Jenas, and Keane recognized this. Doing the cartwheel would put the emphasis on him - wrongly so.
In short, I think he's growing out of it.

I agree with that, i think he does only save that celebration for special goals like the Blackburn goal which was a individual goal.

I also don't like Shearer's one hand salute, it's dull. Like his public persona (off camera he's very funny apparently).
Hasselbaink's cartwheel wasn't even a proper one, i could do a better one and i'm gymnastically challenged.

Nothing could ever beat Temuri Ketsbaia's celebration when he ran the entire length of the pitch kicking hell out of all the advertising boards.
Actaully that's not entirely true. The best one was when Tony Adams threw Steve Morrow, who had scored the winning goal in the cup final, over his shoulder, breaking his arm on landing. Never really played football ever again. Quality
