The American victory will be attributed to superior team effort, organization and individual skill. The victory will not be subject to debate. It's aesthetic value will not be questioned. Those who don't feel "embraced" by the American soccer scene will not be given their soap box.

You're right, Ritchie Clams. Why should I concern myself with Mexico's image? It's their problem.

I don't think your dream will ever come true. As far back as I can remember the Mexican team has been a bunch of classless punks. Do you think that their new players will start having class? Let's look at one of their younger players from the world cup. Rafael "I just Liu Kanged Cobi Jones' Ass" Marquez. Nope I don't see them getting any more classy as time goes by.

I don't know what the obsession is with Mexico. Only time I roll my eyes at US fans regarding Mexico is when they start saying $hit about the country and people and how they're "very bad men" :D. I always just say, "Well,, the end result is all that really mattered..." and that is what it is. It won't change.

But be realistic. It is a rivalry and, well, there are sore sports in the rivalry. There has to be a "villain". haha. And it all goes along with the expression: "Wins are always tarnished while losses are always justified".

Why? Losing eventually makes people wake up to reality. And Mexico has lost several times to the U.S. of late. It is now a rivalry. There is no shame in losing to the U.S. Folks are starting to see this.
