all this talk on skysports about next english manager
if they dont pick pearce they are crazy.
I kinda hope they don't pick him give him more time to build Man City into top team in a couple more years.

he could be a great england manager in the future with some decent club management experience behind him, to pick him now would be a short term measure to pacify the media. he isn't the best man for the job, and it would probably end in tears, potentially ruining what is a promising managerial career.

they should plump for allardyce or scolari.
But the FA are famous for making the wrong choice every time.
they will f'ck up the appointment .no doubt about it.

Also, remember that public opinion called for Kevin Keegan's appointment. This demonstrates that the public knows f-all and should just keep out of it.
I therefore have no opinion on the matter.

Pearce needs to build up his experience at Man City for a few seasons at least. He should gain experience, let him build up his own squad at Man City over a few seasons so people can really see what he can achieve and then be a possible England manager.
