Here in southern California, in championship games, if there is a tie, then there are two champions. Does anyone think this is a good idea? From all the reactions from these games I've read over the years, it seems as if everyone is pissed off until they receive their championship banners.

That in my opinion is sort of pretty stupid, I don't like the idea of having two champions, i mean yeh it makes everyone feel good, but it's not the same as being teh champion of ur schools league, here we just go into golden goal OT's....Which is what your school should do.

Should be a replay.

In the six girls division championship games played this weekend, 3 of them were 0-0 ties, and another was a 1-1 tie. I think that these teams, knowing that they don't have to score to win the title, just sit back and defend. I think in one of the boys divisions, there's been a split title for like 4-5 straight years.

Why don't they not have a tournament and call all the teams co-champions?

In WA state, it goes to OT, then PK shootout, my team lost on the 9th PK in the finals, but i like that better than being a co-champion, but thats just my opinion

Yea, even in NJ its a Co-Champ, which is really really gay.

So you like co-champs! Oh, wait, you meant "Gay" as a bad thing.

Not to be too PC but you might want to think of a different pejorative.

In Indiana there are two 7 minute overtimes with no golden goal and then a shootout. It's pretty much identical to FIFA except 7 instead of 15 minute overtimes.

Which reminds me, in Indiana, high school games are 80 minutes, is this how it is in other states or do they play 90 minute games.

Illinois has 80 min games then (for the playoffs) is four 10 minute golden goal overtime periods then, if no one scores, a shoot out.
