I decided that Bigsoccer wasn't allowing me to ignore studying enough, so I opened a Facebook account for further distraction. It looks promising so far.

*cough* Send friend invite... *cough* ;)

5 down, 1 to go! I might have failed one of them, it's one of those in-the-balance type things, hopefully if I get 37-39% he prof bumps me up, esp. since I am planning on going to the States on a J1 this summer.

My last exam is tomorrow 3.30-6pm GMT so it typically would typically get in the way of yet another United match ( ) but at least it's a piss-easy one: 5 essays questions, answer 3. If it wasn't probably the easiest subject on the course already, the lecturer asks the same 5 questions EVERY year (has done since the course began 5yrs back)... and one of those questions is one I did (and still have the notes of) in a seperate class last year! Nearly there!! :D

EDIT: Which reminds me! On Wednesday I was sitting in an exam (I've got an exemption that allows me to type them on an issued laptop) and since there is internet access in all the buildings, I was online. I wouldn't risk looking something up even if I got desperate since you log in to a 'session' and I am pretty sure they get a mem ber of IT staff to check all the temp. files and such to 'be sure' (or they flat out don't trust us). Thing is, whoever had the computer last (presumably in the library) was on MSN and forgot to log out, so about 10 minutes into the exam I began getting these MSN IMs from some randomer in a language that, which all I know about wasn't European. Weird, but I got a laugh out of it. Thing is, the little guy with a pitchfork standing on my shoulder started wondering about if it was a mate giving notes and such over IMs to me. I still wouldn't have the balls to try it though since the risk is far too high, but MY GOD talk about tempting...

I'm 2 down, 1 to go. And next week's is on Intelligence, which should be interesting enough to revise/learn things for the first time for...at least I don't have to talk about depression and neuroleptics anymore :)

Started University about a week ago. New type of studying for me, took me a little bit to get over the shock and nervousness. I finally got my head on straight , only to find myself behind in some of the work.

You'll come to notice that you'll start falling behind in most subjects in the beginning because you'll be very hard pressed for time, and when you aren't pressed for time all you will want to do is chill out because you've been working on school so damn much. It's tough in the beginning but after 1st term things balance out, at least for me they did.

Quick question, are you living at home or in res?

School starts up again for me on Tuesday. Tomorrow is the last day where I don't have to do anything. I also am interning this semester at place where I want to work once I'm done with school. This is also my last semester at my college. Big semester, I'll be a real adult soon.

At home.

Work comes into play as well. Working the entire weekend, 7-4 Saturday and Sunday really puts a dent in your time.

At home.

Work comes into play as well. Working the entire weekend, 7-4 Saturday and Sunday really puts a dent in your time.

Once you have a semester or two under your belt you will figure out the "tricks" to improving your time management, ie knowing which parts of readings to actually read and which you can skim or skip altogether, how to study for exams, classes you can afford to miss, etc. I struggled a bit my freshman year since the adjustment from having to do nothing in high school to actually having to do work in college was steep for me. But after freshman year I settled nicely and had things figured out well enough. Although the classes theoretically get harder I've found that my time has actually gotten easier since I know better what to do and not to do. Work sucks though, I've had to work all through school while living with 3 roomates, none of which had to work at all. It get's very frustrating at times, unfortunately I can't help you there. Start buying lotto tickets maybe!

Hope that helps.

Don't forget to enjoy your time! Uni goes by quick!
