Went to lectures by Eduardo Bonilla-Silva and Joe Feagin at school today.

I almost took a course from Bonilla-Silva when I was there. Took US labor historian Julia Blackwelder instead -- probably a mistake.

What were they talking about -- I assume racism?

I actually thought about you when I found out that Bonilla-Silva used to teach at A&M, but he apparently teaches at Duke now. Seems like a hell of a professor.

Bingo. Bonilla-Silva's point was that a good percentage of white people are still racist, but just cover it up with new language methods. Feagin was like a damn minister delivering a fire and brimstone sermin or something, talking about how all whites are racists because of the benefits we receive from being white, or some such. Always nice to have an ultra-sensitive, PC, white liberal come to campus and call you racist, only to have all the PC, liberal white people in the room applaud him. He was basically preaching to the choir. Bonilla-Silva was better.

School has been pretty average. Everywhere I turn, there is a girl with a phat ass, and a cute face. The official ratio of females to males in my school is 20:1. Im not joking.

What is it? A nursing school?

I've got a nice and easy one in the morning (but getting into town during rush hour is a bitch, exam starts at 9.30am and I'll have to get the bus for a 5-ish mile run in at 8.10am). Then only one more pretty tough one at 9.30am Saturday and I'm done!

One more. Its a class in which I have solid A but need to make an 80 or so to keep it. Might be hard because its comprehensive and I haven't studied much for it unforuntatelly :(

final in an hour, shouldn't be too bad, gonna squeeze in some last minute studying but it's not comprehensive and the class is pretty easy. also handing in my take home final for another class with the same teacher. then my hardest final tomorrow morning at 8am :eek: , another take home final due on friday and Im done!

Yeah just finished my last final, Im about to try and crash for 3 days straight. I wish I could crash until the world cup though.
