Final piece of coursework handed in today. Two exams on the 19th and 23rd, and then I'm an unemployed non-student.

In 12 hours I will be done for the year, and probably deferring for a further year.

Had my AP German exam yesterday. I really hope I passed. I've been sleepwalking through all my German classes and I hope it doesn't come back to bite me. Also I finally finished my AP Bio online course.

Four year course?
A thought just struck me - this year will be the first time in my (remembered) life that I won't have some form of school to go to in September. Weird. Oh well, if all goes according to plan it won't be too long 'til I'm back in.

If only there weren't any frat members there they would be perfect.

Two of a three year down, although it really is just 4 years crammed into three (so it's a nightmare too!). By the way... done. Done! Done done done done done done done! Barring one feckin' repeat in August, no more school until either October, or next October!

Hey guys. Anyone know where I can find some really useful information on Arrogance, especially arrogance in athletes?
I thought I was being original when my prof gave me this assignment. Henry was going to be my case study. But cant find a damn thing related to sports on the topic.
Mind I also have to find publicised journals on the topic.
Google Scholar has failed me.

Thanks, but Im not looking for specific cases, more a general research type thing, on that topic.
Thanks anyway.

I'll have a scout around but I haven't heard of much about arrogance in the sports psychology literature. I imagine that 'arrogance' would be a very hard concept to define in operational terms - how do you measure it? Where does confidence become arrogance?

No joy, I'm afraid - the closest thing that several searches threw up was a book chapter on sexual abuse by Catholic priests! Which coincidentally happened to be just when one of the girls I live with walked into my room... now my hot housemate thinks I have some weird interest in paedophilia. Thanks, benni.
If you know anyone looking to get into academic sports psychology, there's definately a niche there if they can figure out a way to research it. Not much good to you, I know.

Like Leto said, there's hardly anything about arrogance. Sports psychology is still quite a young field and even in mainstream psychology the case about characteristics (outgoing/introverted etc) is still debated upon although we have the regular diagnostic tests (Big 5). You can use the Big 5 to see whether there's anything done in sports psychology. Otherwise there should be nothing on arrogance at all - I am confident to say.
Probably the most interesting thing would be the finger digit ratio for atheletes (http://human-nature.com/nibbs/02/manning.html). I read this book and it's a PURELY statistical book, it's not prose and shit. Its studies are based in the UK mainly and they found that atheletes who have a lower digit ratio (second finger considerably shorter than fourth finger) are more competitive, appear for first XI more often and are in the better leagues more often than not. Who knows?

I'm curious as to what sort of class you would need that information for. A class that assigns those types of assignments sounds quite interesting.
