Thanks to whoever put up the link to the Matt Le Tissier goals compilation. It must always be remembered what beautiful goals this pie-muncher scored. Still one of only 4 players I ever payed to watch as a neutral.

oooo... takes me back... what a player! Can I ask.... it describes Le Tiss as "arguably" Southamptons best player... who else is up there? I have a recording of Hugh Mcilvanney talking about Mexico '70, and he says of Péle that:- "even his victims felt enriched by what he did to them" I have always felt that was bollocks.... BUT, if there is any truth in that idea, then surely some of the "victims" of Le Tiss must have felt them same... 8 caps... I ask you...

Go on then, I can't resist..... the other 3? My guess is.... Dave Phillips, Robert Fleck and Leandro Augusto, am I right?

I used to watch him play, and wonder who is this big guy scoring all the goals.

I remember him getting booed off the park at Wembley in the WC Qualifier vs. Italy, 1997.

Amazing compilation. He has one of the greatest shots I have ever seen. A true legend.

Heh! Not quite. The others were Glen Hoddle, Paul Gascoigne, and Robert Fleck (actually the last one was Chris Waddle in his prime).
