With all the traffic in the Middle East, especially in Iraq, the whole region could use a parking lot, and I'll be damned if I can't think of the perfect spot for one.

VIENNA, Austria (CNN) -- The United States has dismissed Iran's comments that it can inflict "harm and pain" on Washington for its role in pushing for U.N. Security Council action over Tehran's refusal to halt its nuclear program.
He hinted that if Iran is subject to U.N. sanctions, it could cause problems for the United States.

"The United States may have the power to cause harm and pain but it is also susceptible to harm and pain," Vaeedi said. "So if the United States wishes to choose that path let the ball roll."

This is what I could find so far. Seems like Iran is just blowing more smoke cause I feel they are deathly afraid of sanctions.

Not sure what Iran is trying to do here, it isn't like this is just the US referring Iran to the council, it is also the EU as well. but blaming the US seems to be in vouge so let em blame us.

"Harm and Pain"? Is Iran going to attack our soundwaves with cheesy Persian ripoffs of Depeche Mode?

An ounce of 'Harm and pain, will get then a pound of 'Shock and Awe'.

In Richard Clarkes fictional thriller 'the Scorpions Gate' (B-) He implies that Iran has been behind all of the terrorist escalation since the early 1980's.

I believe Iran was behind such atrocities as the bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut. Iraq was an anti-Islamacist state (albeit run by scum) It is highly likely we blew our wad on the wrong villian.

One word for you: oil.
Where there is oil there is trouble , why? Because of countries like the US who want that oil.

You guys shoud read the details and not just the headlines This is what said in response to Bolton and Cheney's military threats against Iran:

""The United States may have the power to cause harm and pain but it is also susceptible to harm and pain." ([url]http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20060308/...iran_usa_dc_11

I agree. I think Iran should let someone side drill all that oil as soon as possible so they don't have to be bothered with it anymore. ;)

One word for you: oil.Actually, I think the US can play this game. It will hurt us and make gas prices go up to $5 a gallon, but I'm not against that. But if we can blockade the oil from going to China and India, Iran will be hurt way more than we are.

Face it, there has to be a conflict in the area sometime. Better to do it now while we still have some strength.

Emmmmmmm...........you have noticed that little tea-party called Iraq, right? And Afghanistan? And Pakistan?

BTW, just love the way Chimpy really has those Axis of Evil rogue nations hemmed in. Iran is behaving itself and so is North Korea. He really told 'em, so he did.
