Rock and Roll....punk influences (late 70s/early 80s), garage rockish, smart lyrics....very lou reedish....
the song "pulsar radio" on "laughter's fifth" is AWESOME.

i think the WBC is on both channels
I thought all the games were at the same stadium, meaning no more than one game at a time? Regardless, I'm almost completely uninterested in the event and pray the final ratings will bear that out. Like baseball, think there could be something to this, but as concocted and scheduled it's dubious at best.
C'est la vie.

You are da man, GP. I can honestly say I don't know anyone that sees as much live music as you. Its incredible, really.
thanks Kevin...I love concerts. it's somewhat of an obsession ;) trust me on this though: if I lived in the Lower East Side or East Village, I'd probably see live music 4-5 nights a week.
re: my productivity at work and social life:
work is going damn well (minus that raise I'm hoping for soon)
social life: it's been okay ;) :D

Agreed. I think the US are on TV only twice? WTF is that about when they're trying to attract viewers. I seem to vaguely remember China playing Korea in Japan at 3 AM on Friday night/Saturday morning.

Perhaps if they played it after the World Series instead of in the middle of Spring Training when so many other stars are, perhaps rightfully so, more concerned about their regular season.
It also didn't help that this is essentially an MLB event. It's too prepackaged and homogenized. Blech.
Still hope the US kicks ass, though. :D "God bless America..."

Actually, today's a bit different. My grandfather passed away one year ago today, so we're all going to my grandmother's for a big Italian dinner at 3PM. All my cousins from NY and Pittsburgh came into town this morning, so I'm taking off at 2.

I wish I had a cash flow. I have a cash tide. As soon as it comes in, it starts to all head back out to sea. ;)

It will indeed. And on the way home I'll be stopping by Big Choice (Best Buy for the uninitiated) and picking up one of these:
