we got to do something, we have the best team and the worst keeper!!!
we can't let Pekerman take Pato, he will destroy our team!!!
all the games he takes easy goals. let's go to the streets, call another keeper!!

Sometimes hes awsome then other times he makes crazy errors....
But you cant put the blame on him because we got a weak defence right now.....

We may have a weak defence, but that's because of injuries. Once Heinze and Ayala are back, we will have arguably one of the best defences. The problem is definately Pato, who lets in cheap goals.

Lux is OK.. but c'mon.. we really got embarrassed with him in the Confed Cup
against Brazil!
We needed Ustari for this game. Pato is getting old and cannot be the #1.
But not all the blame can be put on Pato... need to have Mascherano back and Zanetti and Ayala..
afuera Cambiasso, Colocini, Samuel, etc...

I don't think the Confed Cup shamble was Lux's fault. He may have been horrendous there, but he was sitting on the bench at River at the time. That, and Argentina wasn't playing their normal football.

Unfortunately, I couldn't see the game today. I talked to my dad who did. He said Abbondanzieri was "un desastre." Not that Lux is the best goalie either, I have my doubts about him too.
I haven't seen much of Ustari other than the U-20 world cup.
Without a good goalie, we are screwed.
I also heard coloccini didn't play so well.

Not like Pato would have recieved less goals. :p Plus, come on, he wasn't getting any minutes in River.. Now that he is playing evey game, he is doing extemely well.. "Para el Poroto, la selecioooon!!! (y la titularidad tambien :) ).

Ustari? Kids too young maybe in the future.
El Pato hasn't shown anything in all the games he has played for the NT so far wether its friendlys or the Copa America.To me hes just a club player and will only do well in bosta jrs.
Lux embarressed us in the Confederation Cup? Comeon dude we didnt play China we played Brazil.Not to mention our defense didn't help em at all.
I know I might get shyt from of you al but my starter or atleast if I was the coach i'll give Gaston Sessa from Velez a shot.The guy has been playing at a regular level for sometime now.
Anybody besides el pato,even el pibe Ustari.

Watching Pato play today was disastrous indeed! I am not confident at all with him as keeper...
Do you think that anyone else will be given a chance before June? Without any more games scheduled I am afraid we are stuck...:(

Lux and Sessa would seem to be our best choices, as they are very good and consistent right now.

If Pekerman is going to start with Pato then Argentina may as well withdraw from the world cup now and save ourselves from humiliation.

I agree that Pato is a danger; he can be great at times and absolutely hopeless at others. But the fact is we cannot guarantee that another goalie will be better. And Argentina should be able to cope with an average goalie, if they fix their team play, with the talents they have.

To be honest bsas Pato does not even look like a average goalkeeper, just a very poor one who is a liability.

i have not seen much of Pato but i have always thought and will always think so that Leo Franco should be our 1st keeper in WC.
i doubt if Heinze will be fit for the tournament but i hope with Ayala returning and may be with milito or gonzalo we have a good defence, i am not worried about this.

From what I have read and heard I believe Heinze does have a good chance of making it for the world cup.
Pekerman has the players to have a good defence, it's up to him to pick them and not keep picking his favourites like Coloccini even when they continue to play badly.

i agree
everytime i have seen this colocini playing i have got the feeling that it will be penalty against us. and penalty is the dangerous thing to conceed in WC. i hope colocini gets injured before WC.

i believe you play the keeper who is most consistent, not one who plays great one game and then poor the other. a good goalie all the time is better than a great goalie some of the time. that way the defence doesn't have to wonder what's going to happen one minute from the next.
we need a steady keeper.

Regarding Coloccini, I have been a long time fan, but I must admit that since Confed Cup he is completely off. Samuel on the other hand had a good game, imo.

Neither El Pato nor Coloccini should go to the WC.
