It is easily the worst major sports arena/stadium I've ever been to. (However, I did see a great concert there, U2 on "The Joshue Tree" tour, before most you were born.)

Ah come on its not that bad. I think from the outside it looks beautiful. The inside is awful, but I still got a "wow" factor feeling when I enter the stadium and looked down on the baseball field. If they had be able to fix the roof, and implement grass fields, everything would have changed.

You obviously have never experienced the old Lansdowne Road on a windy/rainy day (e.g. any day from September to April, and 60% of those in between). Played a rugbyt match there a few years ago... tbh, our pitch (a well-kept field) was better.

Croke Park is a spectacular stadium though, click here (http://www.bigshowbag.com/images/Croke%20Park%20Dublin%20stitch.jpg) to see it (image is to big, would lcutter the page). Interestingly too, despite Lansdowne being the oldest active sporting stadium in the world (temporarily unavailable for it's first real overhaul), Croke Park has probably got more history to it. Shame we don't have another decent stadium or two though, Ireland/Scotland/Wales would be a great trio for hosting a European (or World) Cup in terms of atmosphere. We made a joint bid with the Scots a few years ago but our side completely mucked it up.
