I have recently read that Phil Neville is being left out of the England team, he has always played for his country while at Man U. So i was wondering if anyone else thought that Everton players are being overlooked as we are not seen as one of the 'top teams'??

I think Phil is being overlooked simply because he's not that good enough. The depth of the English team is quite good (from what I see, even though I'm a Germany fan :D )...
Mikel Arteta is a good player, but also with the Spanish squad being deep at that position, I don't see him warranting a callup soon. But maybe after 2006, who knows?
Beattie...well he's rediscovering his goal scoring form. Maybe he can break into England squad if he plays better. But I'd like him to score more than 1 goal in a game for once.
Nuno Valente is 31 now...but he still plays for Portugal IIRC.
Li Tie is still a regular in the Chinese NT despite doing absolutely squadoosh for us lately. I still really like him and I think he got a raw deal after signing permanently for Everton.
McFadden starts regularly in Scotland...but there isn't really much playing ability in Scotland so thats no surprise.
Yobo is a regular on Nigeria. Kilbane and Carsley (when fit) are usually regulars in Ireland.

Neville should and probabily will be in the England squad, hes better than Young at right back. Hes a good backup player for the squad.
Beattie wont get in the squad.
Arteta prob wont get in either.
Li Tie hasnt been given a raw deal, hes a squad player at best and imo isnt the kinda player that could help us move on. Hes also been injured for such along time and imo hes lost his hunger to get back to full fitness for us.

McFadden was a disgrace for Scotland tonight, he looked totally disinterested and had a truely awful match. He shouldn't be in the Scotland team at the moment. I don't usually call players lazy or not interested but that sums up Faddy tonight.
And Davie Weir should do everyone a favour and retire.

We are a little short in the squad right now, so he doesn't need to retire until the end of the season.

I think he means internationally retire.

I meant internationally retire. It's not my place to say whether he should continue playing for Everton.
But I take it back actually, I'm just frustrated with Walter Smith that he would use Weir when at the end of the next campaign he will be 38. But if Walter is picking him I don't blame Weir for playing. And if it's a choice between Weir and Steven Caldwell i'll drive Weir to the games personally ;)
