The same people who own the MISL Force and led a half-hearted effort to sell the team are the same people who have the letter of intent to place a MLS team in Summit County.

1. Was the collapse of the Force calculated because of the new MLS team?

2. Will the Force (indoor) actually return after a year or two as possibly suggested?

3. Can Cleveland support an indoor and outdoor team in this market or experience problems like Kansas City?

I am looking forward to the MLS being the new game in town myself!

The collapse of the Force has more to do with the game itself and the league than a calculated move by Garofolo... true that the pursuit of the MLS team may have taken his attention away from the Force... but since MLS has come into being, the MISL no longer gets the best players (or even some of the best players)... therefore, not only does the game itself destroy some of the best qualities of the game of soccer, but now you don't even get some of the best players to help polish the turd... additionally, in the earlier years of the MISL/NPSL/MISL, this was the ONLY soccer to which we could get... you couldn't find a game on TV if your life depended on it... for those of us who needed soccer in our lives, this was it in the U.S.... nowadays, with the advent of Direct TV, Dish Network, and cable, you can pretty much get your soccer fix every day...

2. Will the Force (indoor) actually return after a year or two as possibly suggested?
I will be surprised if the MISL is around in 5 years... i don't believe the Force will return (as an indoor product)...

3. Can Cleveland support an indoor and outdoor team in this market or experience problems like Kansas City?
I think the problems in KC are directly related to a) the cavernous stadium that is Arrowhead for the Wizards, b) the MISL product... i don't think the U.S. can/will support the MISL any longer... not when the possibility of watching a "real" soccer game is either within a couple hour drive or the click of a remote control button...

I am looking forward to the MLS being the new game in town myself!
As we all are...

But, with regard to KC, both teams are not doing well. Not just the indoor one.

1. It wouldn't suprise me if, it was calculated. The lack of support didn't help
matters any. What a shame, we had a great indoor soccer team.
2. Only with new ownership.
3. I'm not sure if Cleveland would support two soccer teams. Maybe with a
successful MLS team, the Force would get a boost in attendance.

Same here, but I would still support the Force also.
