Congratulations on getting your team. Me and some friends are going to Toronto for our spring break heard it is a really cool city, we've been looking for things to do for 19-20 year olds and have been finding trouble. The only night clubs we seem to be able find our directed to a more sophisticated crowd. If you could point me toward a cool district id appreciate it, and if you dont want this clogging up your board I understand but it was worth a try.

Adelaide and Richmond near Peter street has lots of nightlife. That whole area has a bunch of clubs and pubs. ie. Money, System Sound Bar, Millwaukee's and so on. I havent been for a while, but you'll certainly find something there.
Theres also Guvernment, a massive club complex that has differant rooms. Thats down by the lakefront on Queens Quay st. That club is definatly "less sophisticated."

For clubs, see above.

If you are looking for a pseudo-"alternative" crowd, go to Queen St. W. At Spadina you will find lots of options--The Horseshoe Tavern is a good bet for live music.

I used to like Sneaky Dee's at College and Bathurst--it's a young, drinking crowd--lots of piercings.

Bathurst and Bloor doesn't have the rep of other areas, but it has some offerings as well. I like a little place called The Tap (it's a pub frequented by a lot of people in the Toronto new rock music scene--(note to the locals) Bookie from The Edge is a regular (you can't miss him, he is the ugliest man in the city), Moe from Pursuit of Happiness spins music sometimes and I once played bubble hockey with Humble of The Humble and Fred Show fame there.

And if you want the least sophisticated time in the city, go to the Brunny (Bloor and Brunswick). It's a U of T hangout and the beer flows--cheaply. Many co-eds do things they later regret there.

But, if you are feeling really experimental try Church and College ;)

After all, what happens in T.O….

As others have pointed out, the main entertainment (bars & clubs) district is on Queen Street. Just look up "Toronto Clubs" on Google and you'll get a slew of websites, with places serving many different tastes. All of these places are within walking distance, so if you don't like one, simply leave and walk over to the next one.

If you're looking for some more *ahem* adult-oriented fun, head to the Brass Rail at Yonge and Bloor or Whisky-a-Go-Go, both of them have a young, party-going clientele and quite a bit of eye-candy to match.

Definately the main club area is the block of Adelaide st and Richmond streets between University and Spadina, with more clubs than I can name here. Queen St West is on the northern border of the area, but contains more bars than clubs. College Street west between Bathurst and Ossington is another cool area with lots of bars that convert into clubs at night i.e Ciao Eddie, Shallow Groove, Andy's Pool Hall, Revival, Paezz, Lily etc..

the site below should help
