Also forgot to mention about going to Cape Cod(Eastham) for a week in August which we do every year plus a few long weekends in between. Luckily we have access to a house a 1/2 mile from the beach. Absolutely love it there.

I was just there this past August. Beautiful place, hadn't been back since we left MA back in 1989. I was mostly in the Yarmouth area. Took a whale-watching trip that was pretty damn cool as well.

Took a whale-watching trip

You can do that at Myrtle Beach too...plenty of them to see. ;) :D

Do you still have your timeshare at Dollywood? :D

When are you going to make a trip to the NYC? There are Russian chicks here.

No. I had to sell it to save the farm. ;)

I honestly don't even have the money for a weekend in NYC. In fact, I don't even have the money to get to the NYC.

Maybe you could grab some Russian women off the streets, put them in crates, and mail them to me? :D

I hate that place.

Thank goodness someone else does.

Note to Motterman: never go there. EVER!!!

What's wrong with Myrtle Beach? I ask because I haven't been there, but have been considering a trip there with the wife in the next year or so...

Myrtle Beach is great...if you golf. Otherwise, I think that it's a bit further from Maryland that you want to go for what really is a tacky type beach area.

Speaking of tacky and touristy, my next vacation is Vegas for 4 days in March, same as always, for the first weekend of the NCAA tournament. Just got back from a week in Chile, satisfying my international requirements for a while, though I'm still considering Germany for some event or another this summer, even though I don't have tickets.

My next vacation will be to wherever UCLA plays in the NCAA tournament. Nuff said.

Beaches I prefer on the east coast, as long as you avoid the big tourist season:

Hamptons/Montauk
Cape Cod (Outer Cape is generally considered the best)
Panama Beach (becoming more touristy now though)

Avoid the Hamptons as if your life depended on it during the summer....

I will cross my fingers you get the MCI Center, so we can have a piss up. :D

Oh yeah, I should have added a double "tourist season" disclaimer on that one. But later in the season, when all the blue blood rich kids are gone, its actually a damn nice place. Or, during tourist season, there's always Montauk.

The blue bloods aren't as bad as the trendy City crowd. All those Paris Hilton and P.Diddy wannabe's make me sick...

Even though we go there a lot we still find something new each time we go. Last year we went clamming, got a bunch of quahogs and cooked them up. A little too chewy though. Also I love the CC national seashore especially in the evenings. We try to avoid the Cape during the high season which is mid June to mid August. We usually go the last week of August.

Avoid the Hamptons if you don't like girls who want to have sex with random guys during the summer....
