All the other games have a sticky, but I wanted to see how many of us are coming, and make this our pre-match thread now that we are just about 3 weeks away.

So tell us how many BSers will be at this one.

Also, I know there is probably a party the night before, and we had talked about getting a kick around day of the match. Does anybody know of a good location/park/complex in Dortmund?

I just know the stadium was probably 80% sold out a week ago when I last checked the seating charts at dfb.de

And the fact that they only offered the US Category 1 seats, rather than behind a goal as would have been arranged before hand, can only confirm this. Also the huge 25,000 seat "stand" which is I guess the biggest in Europe, has not been available for sale since I started looking.

I guess there is a misunderstanding on your side.
The red areas which say "nicht verfügbar" (not available) are already sold or reserved for the "Fanclub Nationalmannschaft" (fanclub of the DFB Team). I don't see a reason to wait with selling the tickets and I bet those red areas are still red a day before the match.
But perhaps the truth lies somewhere inbetween. We'll see ;)

I realize they are for the fan club and that they aren't going to go on sale to the public. However I assumed they would also sell them out. I already have tickets, and was making a guess about the attendance.

I wonder if we'll have the military support they had in Kaiserslautern? I read somewhere there are a lot of Yanks in Dortmund
