In a perfect world, Frank Yallop stays for decades and the Quakes become the "Man United" of the USA. We all know that won't happen. It's only a matter of time before Yallop leaves to take on the next challenge.
It's my desire to see Dominic Kinnear offered the next coaching opportunity for the Quakes. I'm scared that another team might try to hire him away before Yallop moves to England.
Dominic would be the perfect choice to continue the tradition we've just started. He knows the system that we're successful with. He knows the players and all their strengths and weaknesses. He's played here and is familar with the area.
Dominic would transition into the same mold as Yallop.
Since Kinnear and John Doyle are good buddies, I wouldn't be surprised to see Doyle join him on the bench. Perhaps Dayak or Agoos if JD wants to stay in the booth? I'd love to see us train up and transistion from assistant coach to head coach. We now have so many great "soccer minds" in the organization, I want to see us keep them and nurture their development....

Don't underestimate the power of local ties. The fact that Dom is from the area looms large, IMO. I can certainly see Yallop moving on to England at some level in the not so distant future, since he spent many years at Ipswich. I'm sure Dom is waiting in the wings for this eventuality. The fact that he is close to home only adds to the fact that "the roots run deep".

Jefe

How old are Yallops kids? I'd think he'd be more willing/less willing depending on their ages. If they are young and wouldn't do well with moving/starting over, FY would be much less likely to move on.
Canada would be a much more likely place for FY to move to. Maybe the Canadian Nats position, but unlikely. They do not have a solid program. Their upcoming national league will stabilize things and give them a platform to grow and develop. He'd either want to be there from the beginning with a club and help build the league or wait for awhile (years) until it builds to the point of todays MLS or something equivalent.

Frank only has one son...I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) He is a VERY cte little thing...adorable as ever. My guess is he's around the age of 4 or so. Looks just like his dad, and walks around the stadium with frank's very pretty wife, holding hands with her the entire time. Very well behaved. Shawnna's son has played with him at practice games before....
